Hi Verve fans! Welcome to Week 2 of our February Viva La Verve sketch challenges! I'm excited to be hosting this week and can't wait to see what you all will come up with!
Details:
Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month. The winner will be announced on the next day and will win the ENTIRE next month's stamp release! How awesome is that?!
For February, we'll have FOUR sketches! All cards must be uploaded to the VLVFeb2011 gallery by midnight, CST on February 24th! Winner will be announced on February 25th! GOOD LUCK!
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVFeb2011 and Verve (if using Verve stamps)
In the attachments, you'll find fabulous samples to inspire you! These are from fellow Divas Maureen, Andrea, and Sony. Even more samples are in the next post! Thanks, Divas!!!
You know what I just realized? The way I paper pieced Emery with that polka dot paper looks like he has chicken pox, lmbo! POOR EMERY! What have I DONE???

Aaaaaaaaaamy!!!!!!! What, oh what have I done to deserve a skewed panel???!!! You BAD DIVA you LOL!
I groaned when I saw this and apparently I have a few others who are feeling my pain for me - thanks girls Hhhhmph - said with my hands on my hips, my lower lip sticking out and a frown on my face
My one little creative gene has run for the hills and I'm going to have to spend a few days looking for it and then calming it down. In the meantime, back to my skewed panel mantra:
"Embrace the s....sk....sk....ske....skew....skewed....panels, oh little
creative gene, embrace the s....sk....sk....ske....skew....skewed panels
and make them your friend".

It doesn't look like chicken pox to me! It looks like that minkee fabric that's so soft and fun to cuddle. So I want to cuddle EMery right now. LOL

Wow, Wanda! I am LOVING those colors together, VERY chic and that ribbon embellishment is FAB!!
I am with you Marisa! The only time I tilt a panel is by accident OR if I have had a drink or two!!! LOLOL!!! I did make it through this sketch though and I know you can too!!!!!!

It only took me forever and an extra day, but I did finally make a sample and included it in the opening attachments. (I put it here, too.)
By the way, this thread is WAY to quiet! Have I scared everyone away with my BAD sketch? Or is it all of Marisa's talk of the Bad Diva Dark Side?
this is just stunning, Amy!! I am loving that Marjolaine paper And, hey, aren't Divas supposed to be a little bad now and then? lol Marisa will do just fine, she always does!! The samples have been KMLPO!! Very inspiring Off to check out some more!!

Your card is gorgeous, Amy. Love that DP and the distressing is a wonderful touch. Still pondering this sketch and looking for my runaway gene LOL! Oh for it to be the day when I don't have a fit when I see one of these skewed panels. Can skew hearts on a card no problem, but panels, that's another story. Hoping I didn't scare everyone away though it would be nice to know there are others who suffer my affliction LOL!

Marisa, I am thinking that these sketches are called "challenges" for a reason!! LOL!!! Some are definitely more of a challenge than others!!! I KNOW you can do it!!! LOLOLOL!!!
