Welcome to Week #3 of the Viva la Verve Challenges!!! Amber is taking some time off this month and so each week one of the Verve Divas will be hosting the challenge. This week, it's my turn!!
I know lots of us are busy getting ready for Christmas, so I came up with an easy sketch this week! And I know some of you (you know who you are {wink}) will be grateful that there are NO tilted panels on this one Enjoy!
We're doing the inspiration part of the challenge a little differently this month. Instead of specific pictures, we have a theme: Ornaments & Winter Decor. Find inspiration from ornaments, wreaths, trees or any of the fabulously pretty things that are decking the halls this time of year!
**The Deets**
Complete all the challenges for a chance to win our next release. Verve stamps are not required, but we love to see' em if you've got 'em!
For December, there will be 4 sketch challenges! All 4 sketch challenges MUST be uploaded to the SCS gallery with keyword VLVDec2010 by midnight on December 30th. On the last week of the month, we'll post a Sketch Challenge Champions thread where you can link all of your projects. One lucky participant who has linked her (or his) cards on the champions thread will win our January release! The winner will be announced on December 31st. Have fun!
Our keywords for December will be Verve (if using Verve stamps) and VLVDec2010. The keywords will remain the same ALL MONTH. Please make sure to add the keyword correctly or your cards won't show up in the gallery!
Three sketch samples are attached below ... Teresa's, Amber's, and mine. (Thanks, Teresa and Amber, for helping me out with samples!)
You divas are a hard act to follow...your samples are amazing! Here's MY CARD inspired by a brown/gold/copper Christmas tree in my house.

Okay, I goofed...I forgot about the theme and just did the sketch. grrrrr!! Anyway, here's my *sketch* card. You're so Amazing!
Great card, Tosh. I'm sure you can make it fit....let's see...CA doesn't get snow and there is lots of sand on the beaches and sand can be that colour, or I'm sure you have a sand filled ornament somewhere you could use as inspiration, right?! Or, maybe you have some nice Jersey cows on the farm that have a little Christmas decor on their tails or something. Yup, think it works LOL!

LOL, Amber...I shouldn't be so cheeky!!! Those tilted panels throw me into a spin...I need to just make the card with straight ones, then tilt them and run!! LOL

Beware Sankiri.....!!!! I am not one to turn down a challenge - even if it does end up putting me in the psych ward once I'm done LOL! Maybe I'll make a straight one and then just tilt my head to the side and pretend it's angled

Beautiful, Wanda! You've totally inspired me with the copper embossing powder! And I love how you sandwiched that shapely die-cut in between the cake and the oval! Thanks for playing!
Tilt at your own risk, girlfriend! I cannot be held liable for any ensuing distress! Teehee!
ROFL!!! I'll blame Sankiri

Gorgeous samples, girls!!! I am definitely playing this weekend!! We have rain...rain....and more rain....So I'm going to stamp....stamp....and hopefully stamp a little more! LOL
Okay, Sankiri LOL! I walked the angled panel gauntlet JUST for you and here is what I came up with. Even broke into my Verve Christmas pressie to get this card done as I will stop at nothing to meet this challenge LOL! Thankfully I'll be wrapping my gift as well as opening it so nobody will be the wiser as long as I tuck this card away in a safe place until after Christmas. The things I do for you Divas
So without any further ado - here is my angled panel card for this non-angled panel sketch! Though I do love the sketch so much may may another using it properly! Trusting it's the last one of 2010 -- hint, hint!!! No hanky panky with the sketches next week, okay Divas LOL!
