Hey sweet ladies! It's my favorite day of the week! Not only because of the obvious *weekend* reasons, but also because I get to hang out with my favorite group of girls around! I hope you enjoy this week's challenge!
**Details**
Every month this year we'll walk through a different room and every week I'll bring you some inspiration pictures of different rooms. You can use these inspiration pictures in any way you want--a color combo, a texture, a style, anything your heart desires! There will also of course be a sketch, the backbone of our challenges! So using the weekly sketches, you'll create an inspired card based on one of the photos provided. I'll also allow your own room to be your inspiration! Of course the only stipulation to this is that you must use the room we're walking-through for that month. Complete all the challenges for a chance to win our next release. Verve stamps are not required, but we love to see' em if you've got 'em!
For July, we are walking through bathrooms and there will be 4 sketch challenges! All 4 sketch challenges MUST be uploaded to the SCS gallery by midnight on July 29th. The last week of the month, I will post a Sketch Challenge Champions thread for you to link all of your projects. One lucky participant will win our next month's entire release. The winner will be announced on July 30th. Have fun!
Starting this week, I thought, for the sake of my sanity and yours, I'd start doing the inspiration challenges a bit different. Instead of picking out only three pictures for you to choose from, I'm going to post a website and let you go NUTS! Simply go to the featured website of the week and find your own inspiration! I feel that inspiration is a very individual thing and what may inspire ME may not necessarily inspire YOU! SO...I'm going to give you the reins!
This week's bathroom inspiration is brought to you by Themebath.com! There are a ton of photos and ideas on this website and I can't WAIT to see what you choose! Make sure to link the photo that inspired you in your upload!
Please let me know if you prefer this method, or if you like the old way of my choosing three pictures for you. I don't mind EITHER way, I want to find the most desired method for YOU!
Fun idea, Amber...to answer your question...I like it both ways...I love your choices of inspiration photos, but like looking for my own too (although this does take time and once I'm back at work, might become a problem). How about 3 times you pick the photos and then the last week of each month we choose from a website? Best of both worlds
I like both formats. I think you do a great job of finding a variety of styles for the inspiration photos, but I did like this last week where I could pick my own.
If you decide to offer both, how about posting the link with the multiple choice rooms for the first week. Then for the subsequent weeks of that month, if a person is not inspired by one of the three pictures for that week, there could have the option of going back to the week one rooms and using one of the rooms that you hadn't already used. Maybe that gets to be too much choice for the challenges? Just my two cents.
Brain overload here - too much choice on that website. I eventually went for the holiday section so I could make another Christmas card and this was the inspiration piece (http://www.themebath.com/folk-art-sn...est-towel.aspx). I am not sure I could cope with all this choice every week but once or twice a month would be OK. Thanks
Woohoo I know it's been a little while but I'm hoping I'll be able to play along all the challenges this month!! Hii Amber!! thanks for another awesome challenge!!
