Hey, y'all!! Happy Friday!! It's Shannan and I am so excited to host this week's Viva la Verve Sketch Challenge! We have a little SURPRISE for you...I know Clean and Simple card making is so HOT right now, though most of us Divas love to PILE IT ON when it comes to the layers and embellishments. (heehee) Sooooo, the last Friday of every month we will bring you a Viva la Verve with a Clean and Simple twist! I hope you play along...I can't wait to see what you create!
Details: Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, one for each of the month's sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
We've had four sketches in January. All four of your cards must be uploaded to the VLVJAN2012 Gallery and linked up in theVLVLJan2012 Sketch CHAMPIONS thread by midnight, CST on Thursday, February 2, to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on February 3! GOOD LUCK! To make things easy, here's the link to the printable PDF sketchbook of all of January's sketches.
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVJan2012 and Verve (if using Verve stamps).
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery:
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... VLVJan2012. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the VLVJan2012 Gallery
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVJan2012 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.
Here is this weeks sketch...have fun!
And here's my sample along with my fabulous fellow Divas Janelle, Maureen, Andrea, Amy, Tosh, & Dawn.
Hooray, I'm the first one! It doesn't happen often A rootin' tootin' time
Thanks, Shannan! I turned the sketch on the side and modified it a bit to suit my needs.
oh, the possibilities!! Love this, Shannan! Look at all the fabulous inspiration the Divas have given us! Okay, here's a little game...who can guess what I did on my card?

I cheated a little bit to figure it out. What you did is bold! I shiver a little bit when I think of doing it.

Does it involve a shamrock?

I had fun trying to be creative with the simple horizontal panel, and had to use the new All Aflutter dies. Blue Skies is one of my favorite Verve sets, love the dies to use with those sweet butterflies.
Thanks for the sketch, Shannan!

Love the CAS idea...not a style that I do well with, but love trying! Here's my Melon Mambo Butterfly.
