**Viva la Verve February 2011 -- Week 3 {2/11/11}**
Hi Verve fans! Welcome to Week 3 of our February Viva La Verve sketch challenges! I'm excited to be hosting this week and can't wait to see what you all will come up with!
Details:
Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month. The winner will be announced on the next day and will win the ENTIRE next month's stamp release! How awesome is that?!
For February, we'll have FOUR sketches! All cards must be uploaded to the VLVFeb2011 gallery by midnight, CST on February 24th! Winner will be announced on February 25th! GOOD LUCK!
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVFeb2011 and Verve (if using Verve stamps)
Gorgeous sketch - can't wait to give this a go. You ladies really are working on Marisa's supposed "single creative gene" with these skewed panels =) LOL
Nooooooooo!!!! Not ANOTHER skewed panel!! What have I done to deserve this torture LOL! My poor little creative gene is having cardiac arrest and is in ICU.
NEW RULE: If there are two skewed sketches in one month, I get a bye on one of them, or the Diva that created the sketch has to make my card for me!
I'm still pondering last week's sketch and now I have two to deal with. Promise me you'll come and visit me in the looney bin and send me some new Verve stamps once in a while....

Marisa, I came up with a new technique for you...use vellum as a layer!! LOL Actually I came up with it to help ME!! You can do it...just one little layer, really, you won't even know it's there
Had fun playing along Teresa - sorry that my card didn't quite follow the sketch exactly Kinda had a mind of its own.
Marisa - I immediately thought of you - but I know that you can do it! Your creations skewed or not are beautiful! Sending you big big big skewed hugs

About ready to make an all vellum card for both these sketches LOL! Great idea though. Adding it to my mullings over these sketches - thanks.

Already told her.. make two panels the same size and place the top one tilted with your eyes closed.... easy peasy!!! LOL!!

great idea, Vickie!! I now I just thought, just add a little adhesive and maybe it will just "fall" into a tilt!! I've had cards sitting on a shelf and if the adhesive didn't work, parts have fallen down a bit! LOL
I love Verve and have only participated in one sketch challenge. I am getting ready to try to use sketch 2 and 3 from this month. My question though is do we have to use Verve stamps? I am assuming so, but wanted to double check. The only reason being is I am new to using verve. LOVE Them but don't have a lot of sets. So just needed to know if I have to use Verve stamps for this sketch challenge?
Thank you for another fun sketch! You ladies are on a roll this month with all the tilted panels - I'm getting a crook in my neck! Have a great weekend!
Wow everyone's cards are just beautiful!!!! You all are so very talented so neat to see all the different designs and techniques you all came up with!!!
If you have got them you can show them some love but if you haven't anything suitable you can use what you have - that seems to be the rules! Happy stamping
