I thought Friday would NEVER get here, but it HAS! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has seriously been one of the longest weeks EVER at work, I hope your week went better than mine did, lol!
Anyhoo, here's this weeks challenge:
*The Deets**
Every month this year we'll walk through a different room and every week I'll bring you some inspiration pictures of different rooms. You can use these inspiration pictures in any way you want--a color combo, a texture, a style, anything your heart desires! There will also of course be a sketch, the backbone of our challenges! So using the weekly sketches, you'll create an inspired card based on one of the photos provided. I'll also allow your own room to be your inspiration! Of course the only stipulation to this is that you must use the room we're walking-through for that month. Complete all the challenges for a chance to win our next release. Verve stamps are not required, but we love to see' em if you've got 'em!
For August, we are walking through master bedrooms and there will be 4 sketch challenges! All 4 sketch challenges MUST be uploaded to the SCS gallery by midnight on Aug 26th. This week, I will post a Sketch Challenge Champions thread for you to link all of your projects. One lucky participant who has linked their cards on the champions thread will win our next month's entire release. The winner will be announced on Aug 27th. Have fun!
This week's inspiration comes from The Pottery Barn! Use one of the three pics I uploaded as inspiration or find your own *bedroom inspired*! Link up the photo you chose if it's not one of the three I uploaded. Can't wait to see your cards!
VERY IMPORTANT: Keywords this month are going to be Verve (if using Verve stamps) and VLVAug2010 (make sure to spell the keyword out right so it will show up in the gallery.
Oh, I so {heart} Pottery Barn and am so torn between the first and third inspiration pictures. I guess I'll just have to get some paper out and see what starts to happen.
All righty. I ended perusing the Pottery Barn website ('cause who DOESN'T love Pottery Barn?!)... I tell ya. That website is dangerous. I ended up choosing my own inspiration set, after I placed it in my shopping cart!!!! lol

Eventually got to make this card to tell my Brother and his wife to "Enjoy your day" as it is their anniversary this weekend.
Thanks Amber for some impressive bedrooms this month and of course sketches. Make me want to redecorate, but that would impact my crafting time!

Well.....life won this month....sniff, sniff.... Didn't get my cards done so will have to start fresh in September when the kids are in school and I have more time to stamp

I absolutely will take a better picture tonight. I dont know what it is about the lighting. I'll get that sorted out but for now, this will have to do!
It was so much fun working on this weeks challenge. Im a huge fan of quilting so this is close to heart for me.
