Oh my goodness, here I am, bringing up week 2 of August's Viva La Verve sketches! These glorious summer weeks are just flying by! Hope you've all still got your mojo in place for a new design...actually, some will say that I've taken this one quite easy...I was definitely in a CAS mood when I made up this sketch!
Details:
Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win the ENTIRE next Verve stamp release! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
For August, we'll have FIVE sketches! All five cards must be uploaded to the VLVAug2011 gallery by midnight, CST on Thursday, September 1st to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on September 2nd! GOOD LUCK!
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVAug2011 and Verve (if using Verve stamps).
**Some Upload Information** If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery: If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... VLVAug2011. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in theVLVAug2011 Gallery
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVAug2011 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.
Here are some beautiful samples from my super talented Diva sisters Moe and Teresa and a sample from myself:
Thanks for this sketch. I pleated my strip for the DirtyGirl challenge, as well. One of my favorites right now is a white (or colored) embossed bg with a smaller image - this sketch is great for that. I should have used a smaller image, I guess - hope mine is ok.
Andrea, I luv the sketch...it is a great one to have for all the time, it can be dressed up or down very quickly..thanks girl!
I agree completely, you can definitely dress this one up or down nicely! Thanks for the great sketch Andrea ~ I was excited when I saw your name under the title post And honestly, I'm glad the sketches have been a little more on the "easier" side this month since, my goodness, it's a busy time!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Diva cards ~ Absolutely Beautiful!
Great samples Divas and a fabulous sketch, Andrea! As has been said, you can dress it up or dress it down - lots of options Can't wait to play along.

Andrea, I love this sketch. Can't wait to try it! I had a cyst removed from a finger on my left hand today, so I can't do anything for awhile! Boo hoo!
Thanks, ladies...I almost felt like I was "cheating" when I designed this sketch...if you know me, you know I like to add lots of "stuff"! So glad you all liked it, gonna spend me some time in the gallery today....sharin' the love... ♥
I just had to use my MFT Sew Nifty set...aren't the little scissors the cutest?
ummm, yes, Your scissors ARE the Cutest!!
Oh my Goodness! What a delightfully darling card! The scissors are adorable; LOVE the papers you chose ~ Perfect All Over! Way to rock - I mean paper - I mean scissors - the sketch!!
Andrea, I love this sketch. Can't wait to try it! I had a cyst removed from a finger on my left hand today, so I can't do anything for awhile! Boo hoo!
Oh my goodness, Mackie...hope you're okay! And I hope you don't go through stamp withdrawal!
(You know you can play along anytime...) ♥
Wish you could have a "do over" on a card sometimes? Well, I felt that way about Andrea's sketch challenge this week, and also a card that had some wild paper and colors. Both the paper and sketch are terrific, and I've been thinking about what I'd do differently. Here's the new attempt: Hip Chick by SanFransister - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks again Andrea for the nice "easy day kind of a sketch" ~ I loved it!
I really tried to stick right to the sketch and had fun random stamping my own background paper and coloring the border and ovals and flowers with a blending brush and ink ... I just used the same brush so there's a real mix of colors ... kinda sloppy ... but kind of soft ...
I made six cards with the paper I background paper I made but I posted a picture of two in my gallery ... due to my random coloring spree, each one is different.
