Hey y'all! Happy Friday!! You all have been ROCKIN' the Viva la Verve Gallery this month...WOOHOO!! I'm so excited to bring you today's sketch. I hope you like it!
Before we start, some details: Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win the ENTIRE next Verve stamp release! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
For April, we've had FOUR sketches! All four cards must be uploaded to the VLVAPR2011 gallery and linked in the VLVAPR2011 Sketch Champions thread by midnight, CST on Thursday, April 28th to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on May 1st! GOOD LUCK!
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVApr2011 and Verve (if using Verve stamps).
Some info:
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery:
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... VLVApr2011. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the VLVApr2011 Gallery.
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVApr2011 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.
This may be right up there with my tilted panel issues LOL! Going to have to ponder this one a bit and see what comes of it

it was super fun to figure out how do the starburst!! I have a picture of my paper on my blog too, although not as detailed and user friendly as Shannan's
The starburst was easier to do than I expected (the visual tute was a BIG help!). Thanks, Shannon, for a fun sketch! MY CARD

I love this challenge. It looks really hard, but I watched your tutorial and now I can't wait to try it! Wish me luck! I just love the card you made for this challenge.
Mackie
I loved this sketch so much that instead of taking a nap today, I actually made a couple of cards following it. And then I did the unspeakable. I put addresses on the cards and slapped stamps on them, and they're in the mailbox with the flag up. I almost can't believe it.
Unfortunately, I didn't scan them or take a picture, so I'll have to make another one to enter the challenge.
That will teach me not to read all your pearls of wisdom - grabbed the sketch, added it to my ideas page and then today felt quite apprehensive about where to begin - just now spotted that you did a tutorial!
Well I will go back and read that but this is my card which is another Christening Card using this cute teddy. Thanks for looking and thanks Shannan for trying to be helpful!
Well, well, well - Shannan, Shannan, Shannan. When are you going to quit giving me such easy challenges?! {sigh} Here's the Orchid Oppulence and YoYo Yellow you requested, with a little Green Galore thrown in for good measure... Fun sketch & technique, Steuby!
Awesome sketch Shannan! Mark's first comment when he saw my card was that he "loved that sun-ray technique". So 1 out of 1 husbands approve! LOL Here's mine...
