The pdf form is just to help you keep track. When you upload, just make sure you add the keyword for that vsn challenge and you'll be all good. Uploading on SCS is really easy!

And by all means, don't be afraid to ask if you have more questions!
I have never participated in a VSN, but have always been curious. One of the things that has held me back is I have the impression you need to have access to your computer while you are playing. My craft area is in the basement and not close to a computer. My question is if it would work to check the computer for the challenge, run to my craft area and create, then come back to the computer for the next one? Would I lose the feel of it this way? Thanks for any info or suggestions.

I'm not one of the "Official" answerers here but I can tell you from my own experience, it's still a ton of fun. My main card area is in the other end of house from computer so I don't do much online chatting but have a great time with the challenges. Even more so if you invite a couple friends over to play. Then you have your own chat groupies...
Samantha - the shopping list is for both the mini and the main event.
Barb - Sheri is right on! The hostesses will be poised at our computers ready and anxious to answer all of your burning questions, but you, as a player, can do exactly what Sheri said. The challenges will be posted each hour, so make sure to check back for the next challenge. You have until Monday to upload your cards, so I'm sure you can find your computer before that, right?

Barb, once you know what the challenge is, you probably don't need the computer to do it, unless you have questions, so this plan should work fine. And think of all the calories you'll burn running up and down the stairs!

I am in the same spot. I uploaded two cards the other day and it seemed kind of complicated. Don't know if I was doing something not quite right. We'll see how it goes the night of. If it works, okay, if not, i'll have at it again next time around.

I found that the more I uploaded, the easier it got. It was truly a case of practice makes better. If you do play along, don't be afraid to ask questions, all the hostesses are here to help.

thx. I'll try uploading a couple of more tomorrow during the day. It sounds fun. I haven't yet found the pdf file that was mentioned.
I think the pdf referenced above is the tracking sheet for the mini. It's handy to write down the keyword and information about the challenge. I don't have a computer in my craft room, so I jot down all the info and take my sheet to my craft room to create. Here is the link to the tracking sheet.

I have always done it this way! It's still lots of fun!

Tomorrow evening do I just click on the link under you all's name and that will take me right to the "happening" forum?
Kind of, try this one tomorrow night. It's just a step up from where our link takes you. From here, you will be able to see and click on the thread for each challenge as it is posted.
Also do I just upload the pictures to my gallery and the keyword will take it where it's supposed to go?
The keyword will be important to get correct. It's a good idea to copy and paste the keyword from the challenge/chat thread. It's also suggested that you post a link to your card in the challenge/chat thread.
I hope I am not getting too technical for you. Any hostess can and will help you with this stuff!

Thank you, I didn't think I was quite in the right place.
Posting your card in the chat thread for each challenge is good in case somehow the keywords do get mixed up. Then at least we know where it's supposed to go and someone can let you know if you have the wrong keyword.

You may want to check out this thread before you get started.
At the end it will lead you to another thread with even more helpful information.
Also, the coordinators and hostessess that are online tonight will be more than happy to answer any questions you have. We have all been where you are and so we know how you feel.

When does the 45 minutes start? As a west coast stamper, I have to make dinner in the middle of this (or at least call for pizza and scarf some down with the family). So, if a challenge is posted at 6:00, can my clock start ticking at 6:45?

To simply reply to a post you can choose either.
Go Advanced will get you to the same screen as the small reply button. That is what you want to use if you want to add color, hyperlinks, pictures, etc.. to your post.

But it always looks like I am starting a new thread- I want to continue in the same conversation. Which would be best & how do i see the continual conversation?.

At least you got the first one and the tracking sheet. Now you can jot down any notes about the rest of the challenges!
