I can see I'm going to run into trouble already......I just finished my card for the 1:00 challenge.....yikes!!! how do you ladies crank these out soooo fast!!! lol
I play with what ever is on the table mostly, and I have a tin of pre colored images, stamped backgrounds, pre stamped/ die cut into shapes sentiments... so a lot of cards towards the end of the day will end up using scraps of cards that came before it.

I have not done a VSN for a long time. However, I have been doing challenges, and I guess my personal challenge is to combine them! I understand not being able to combine the ones on VSN - but is it ok to combine with "outside" ones? For example, it helps me a lot to start with a sketch. Thanks!
I've only made a card from a sketch a couple of times and I have no colored images stock piled.....I see you really have to come into this VSN prepared!! I don't know if I've ever made a card in 45 minutes!!! lol. I will lurk and learn for this round......and go and remove my key word on the one card I did upload cause it took me wayyy longer than 45 minutes to make.....hahaha!!!

I'll share a tip.....you can mentally plan...get your supplies ready....find a layout you like.....all that does NOT have to count for your 45 minutes!
Thanks LuvLee!! I'm going to have this down pat by the end of these challenges....I'm trying to be a sponge and just soak up all this great info....lol! Learning from the pro's!! I like that!
Wow! I'm getting tired! Sooo much fun. So there is no way I'm going to upload my photos until tomorrow, which I know is okay, my question is, should I still try to add a link to my photo in the original thread for that challenge even though the challenge is over?

I think I'd better master getting a card done in 45 minutes first.....haven't even come close yet!!! You ladies may have your hands full trying to teach this old dog how to create with a time line.....lol!!
They are not "over" yet... they are just not live... all the hosts will probably be peeking in and out of the threads and gallery over the rest of the weekend and you all have until Monday night to get them uploaded. I know it slows me down to shoot and edit and upload so I tend to do a few cards then shoot and such... and do the uploading in batches.

Whew! milighthousegal and I started at 4 this afternoon, going back to the noon challenge...and we are finally done! Eleven projects in nine hours...plus eating, clean up, etc. So I guess we are done in the allotted time! I will spend tomorrow afternoon editing the pictures, downloading, etc. milighthousegal will probably leave in the morning (when we wake up) to head back home (two hours away). Was great to have her here to have some one to spend time with just to stamp, converse and have a good time! Wish she lived closer.
All hostess - great job and great challenges....you are the SPRING BLOSSOMS to our dreary winter days (at least here in Michigan).
I know that we cannot combine virtual stamp night challenges in the same project. But can we combine the challenges with non-VSN challenges like the Wednesday sketch or a blog challenge?
I should have asked before I made 8 cards yesterday. 3 of them double up.

Theresa...wow!!! What a fun day...so glad you played along and had a great time!
Kim...yep you sure can combine with any other challenges!
I am so relieved! Not that it's a big deal but I want to do all of the challenges. 3 cards makes a difference.

I ended up getting a horrific ear infection and stuck in bed the last two days! ICK! Anyway, I've got my cards done and descriptions written up, but there is NO WAY I'll get it all uploaded by 9pm central time. So I'm going to try to upload them all quickly and then go back and put descriptions. I hope this is okay. After that I'll go to the threads and post the links.

I remember when I first participated in a VSN. I was certain I'd never be able to complete anything more than a very simple card in the allotted time. Now that I've got a few under my belt, my pants are too tight. No, wait, I mean, now that I've got a few under my belt, I'm finding it pretty easy to do most of the challenges in under 45 minutes. (This go-round I only missed the 2 technique ones that I wasn't familiar with.)
So, my message to "newbies": don't fret, the more you stamp, the easier and more fun it gets!
Also, don't forget to cruise the galleries and leave comments. Giving and receiving comments is one of the best parts of VSN!

I did get them all uploaded and added to my gallery! I won't worry about adding links to the thread since I know I missed the deadline. Spent all day yesterday at the Urgent Care clinic and all day today in bed. However, due to the joys of antibiotics I am feeling much better now and was able to upload the photos. I just had to do it since I'd worked so hard!
I know I can't be included in the VSN, but the photos are all named that, I hope that's okay. Please let me know if I need to change the names. Thanks for letting me participate! I look forward to becoming an active member of this community and hopefully next time I won't get sick! At least the illness happened on Sunday, AFTER we'd made all our cards! lol!

Thanks ladies! Ear infections are the worst. Soooo painful! Plus I always thougt they were for kids. I didn't mind the 45 minute deadlines, but I will need to go back and create insides for all my cards! I could have used the get well one for myself! Lol! Fun stamping and creating with you all. I look forward to going through the galleries tomorrow afternoon.

Rain...you don't need to change a thing and they all "count"! VSN has some rules just cuz we gotta have some order....but they're flexible and kind because stampin' is supposed to be our therapy, not our stressors! LOL I'm so glad you joined us!
Dontcha dare change the names?
how are we supposed to see what you did and leave ya some love if you do that?!?!
just worry about getting well! we can all live without recipes too and you can edit later when you feel up to it... not a big deal I think playing in VSN challenges teaches you to make do with what you have rather then I gotta use her sketch and that stamp and these dimensions or I won't play... kwim?
So from my own point of view I'd rather see what anyone did for these challenges even if they go in after the deadline.
kinda like being a pirate... hang the rules... they are more like guidelines anyways right?
