I just want to be able to play more this year and if it's not on my dayplanner, I might have to skip it. VSNs are too much fun to miss Merry Christmas!
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to get notifications of when there will be a VSN? I check in here when I have time and life just never seems to slow down. Just moved and I'm setting up my new stamp area where I intend to have my PC. I also need to get creative again and I've played in a VSN or two (though I never get many of the challenges but I like the challenges) and it's so much fun and gets you in the groove. I see I just missed one so was hoping to know when the next one might be so I can plan to attend.

I think if you go back out to the Main VSN Forum.....and then click on Thread Tools you should be able to click on the option Subscribe To This Forum. Let me know if that works...if not I'll look into something else!
Hi I have never done vsn and would like to give it a try. But how do I go about it, where do I get the info from, and how do I upload a card? Thanks Monnie Mae

MonnieMae....welcome!!! The next one will be on Feb 10 and then March 9, 10. Here is a thread for our brand newbies and it has lots of great info for you! And feel free to ask anything......everyone is so great at helping out fellow stampers!!
People who aren't Fan Club members have to have their uploads (posts) approved, and the mods take Sunday off. That restriction is lifted for VSN weekend, so everything auto-posts without waiting for approval.

LizBeth...usually only Fan Club Subscribers can upload on Sundays, but for VSN the permissions are granted so that everyone can upload without waiting for approval.
Rain....yes....right here in the VSN Forum all the challenges for tonite and tomorrow will go live at the top of the hour during the scheduled times! But you'll have until Monday night to play along and upload!

There are 5 tonite and there will be 11 tomorrow....the one at noon that kicks us off is a special Kids challenge..........but adults are more than welcome to play along too!

ACK!!! I totally forgot about VSN this last night! EEK... I wrote down all the challenges, will have to stamp after the soccer games today.... WHOHOO though! So excited!
Trying to upload my photos of last night's challenges quickly before the first challenge of today is posted but I am extremely frustrated. When I click upload a photo, I get to the upload page and the first thing it asks me to do is choose a category from a dropdown menu. This is where I get stuck. Can't find one called MAR12VSNA for the first challenge, etc. Help!! Sorry, new to forums and uploading photos.

You can upload the card into any appropriate gallery, or just into your own gallery. As long as you include the right keyword (MAR12VSN...) in the keywords field, it will show up in the VSN gallery too.
Does that make sense? Give it a try and pop back here if you are still having trouble.
It is made automatically, nothing special you need to do.
When you go to upload, the first field after your username is the category...it should automatically say "member galleries." If you leave that in the field, it will add the card to your personal gallery and tada!!! .... You have a gallery all to yourself!!!
Here is a picture...this is what mine would look like if I wanted to just upload to my own gallery, then I would add the filename, etc. (albums are another thing, just leave that at "none" for now).

Lol! Oh! I didn't realize I could choose *that* as a category! Duh. Next issue is iPhone won't let me upload photos from my phone. Soooo, unless someone has some magical way around that, I will have to go plug my phone in, upload my photos to my desktop, then proceed... Ah, technology! And only ten minutes until the first challenge of the day!

So true!!! I even get to teach my kids something every now and then! "Mom, how do you know THAT???" "SCS, honey...."
Okay.....first timer to the VSN.......have to do all the cards from last night and try and keep up to today's challenges......no pressure, right??!! ACK!!!!
I've been wanting to play along with this since I joined SCS a year ago however we always seemed to be away the weekend's they were on....but not this one!! And wouldn't you know it.....I was home last night but putzing around in my craft room and not paying attention to the home page of SCS.....geesh!!
I have now had to update itunes, now updating iphone OS, and all while I should be punching shapes with my kids... lol! We will figure this out and finish the challenges and get our finished products uploaded eventually! (by Monday night!) Really enjoying the number of cards I'm making for a quick go to pile! Mine was clean empty.9*

I am phone challenged but my kids can send emails from their phones with pictures. Can;t you send your email account on the computer the photo and then "save" to your pictures and download to SCS from there.
When my photos are too large to download to SCS from a scan, I send it to me in email and re-save it in My pictures' and it is made smaller so I can post to SCS.
Just an idea. Good luck! The VSN's are so much fun and push you to do things you might not normally do!
