The kids challenge will be on Friday, March 24th at 5:30pmMT hows that for a grand entrance?!
Neith was completely new to SCS last month, and jumped right in with VSN, and then decided she wanted to hostess! See newbies, theres nothing to be afraid of!
I must say that is a FANTASTIC ENTRANCE! Thanks for sharing a tidbit with us! ROCK ON "ROCKETTES", Uatchet and Nekhebet!!! *Thank goodness for the C&P feature...or I never would have spelled their names correctly!
Neith you and your twins have the coolest names!
Bring it on kiddos...I can't wait to see what you come up with...

My son is so excited to participate this Friday! His school has a family pizza party from 6-7 CST (5-6 MST) so we'll miss the beginning but we'll jump right in when we finish dinner!
By the way - what is the phonetic pronunciation of your children's names, Neith? Or should I just refer to them as the Rockettes to my son, when telling him about their challenge on Friday?

Oh my! I was busy all day yesterday cleaning out the garage and totally missed it! How cool!
If anyone is on the Club Scrap/Stamp message boards you'd know I'm a manic brainstormer And I host a monthly challenge for Ranger through their yahoo group... but there is NOTHING like VSN! Where else do you get rapid fire 45 minute challenges all night and a few the night before? Ahh the pressure, ahhh the payoff!
And, oh my, a kids' challenge!?! My kids love to have chances to work with me and to share what they've made So it seemed only natural to offer some kids challenge options and we were lucky enough to have been picked as THE opening act! They are all excited, made tons of samples, and are ready for each of us to pick our own winners!
See you Friday!
(PS remember that my twins first did this particular project when they were 4 years old... just me and TWO of them! So please! Any kid can enter and do a great job!)

Awww thank you Our names all come from Egyptian mythology, including my son's, Sebek. My parents are not only very cool and unique people, but my dad spent time in the Navy as a photographer stationed in Morrocco and he freelanced on his spare time... including with archaeologists in Egypt.... he swears that he'll eventually print me all the photos he took there!
Neith is the Egyptian goddess of war, peace, and wisdom. Her son, Sebek, is the crocodile god who takes people on shortcuts through the underworld. And Uatchet & Nekhebet are twin goddesses of Lower and Upper Egypt, a cobra goddess and a vulture goddess, respectively. My husband just loved my name and wanted to run with it
I am so looking forward to the kids challenge! No kiddies here - it was just so much fun to see the beautiful art that our Jr stampers came up with last month!!!

Oh I hope he has a blast at the party and VSN!
Here's how to say their names! Uatchet = wah-djet and Nekhebet = neck-heh-bet I don't think they've met a child yet who can't say it, but some adults get hung up... but it's our last name that really throws people (my husband is Korean and when they moved here, his dad had to romanize the name from Korean characters and noone can understand how he spelled an "ooo" sound as "uch"! for that alone, my husband very nearly had us give the kids my maiden name as a last name... even began filing paperwork on my son that way!)

Awww you can create anyhow! (just can't enter) I didn't have enough planning time last time but I sure am tempted to do last month's one as an adult! hehe I will as soon as I remember where I hid my shrink plastic!
I love getting the kids involved and how it's welcomed here!
Love love love the meanings of the kiddos names! Very very cool! My DD(4yrsold) and I are so pyched about tomorrow night! Yeah!!
