Although, on second glance, it does say "Summertime in the Land That I Love", which can certainly mean any land that anyone loves. Maybe that helps?
I'm adopting this attitude and hope that although I'm on the other side of the world and that it's winter here, that I and others from our "land" can still play!!!!!
Yes, we want everyone to feel welcome and loved for the next VSN. We realized that it was winter in Australia, etc, but felt that summertime can be a state of mind, not necessarily the season that we are currently in. Please, no one take offense, as none was intended!!!!! If you have concerns and want to PM me, that is fine (pkpenn)

I'm with ya' Patty - as much as I LOVE winter, I must admit that there are some times during winter where I long for a bit of warmth - this might just do the trick!!!!!

i appreciate that the theme was changed from "Summertime in the good 'ole USA" to "Summertime in the Land that I Love" and the description has now been changed as well, which is inclusive.
Yep!! Marked the dates on my calandar!! My DH is giving me a hard time and saying "why so long?" I can't get over how he helps me during the VSNs with meals etc.
I guess he thinks it is neat that I do this. Last time was first main event I did. I had done the mini. Great theme! Thanks to all involved for doing "fun nights"!
Yup! I can't wait either! I have lots of vacation saved up so since we are painting our house this year with our vacation $$$ - we'll be staying home. I guess that's a staycation? So I'm taking some VAC days for dare to get dirty and VSN. Yea!
Can't believe I missed this! Guess I've been busy. Hopefully I'll be able to join the fun for the Main Event.

Almost embarrased to admit this, but could someone please explain VSN and all related info to me? Do we need to sign up? What do we need to do? How much does it cost? Hi, alibry! I just participated in my first VSN in May. To answer your specific questions, you don't need to sign up. You just visit the VSN forum on the date of the VSN. Challenges are posted by the hostesses every hour on the hour. You can choose to participate in none, one, several or all. There is no cost, other than the cost of any supplies you want to purchase ahead of time. Before the May VSN, a list of supplies to have handy was posted about a week ahead of time. No need to RSVP - just visit the VSN forum on that date to see what's going on.

There will be a master thread right in this forum as well as individual chat threads for each challenge.
If you are on Central Daylight Time, the challenges will start one hour earlier than the "EDT" posted times.
