SEP12VSNK ~Saturday, Sept. 22 ~5:00pm EST ~Sandbox Follies
Title: Sandbox Follies
Hostess: JoAnn sarahzoe
Keyword: SEP12VSNK
Day/Date: Saturday, September 22nd
Time: 5:00pm EST
This is my 40th year teaching school. I have many great memories of every grade level I taught from 3rd graders to seniors. If I had to choose a least favorite memory, it would be during the years I taught elementary and had to take my turn on recess duty. The little ones playing in the sandboxes had more fights than anyone else. Sand castles versus hot wheel roads and lots of tears.
My challenge to you is to make a card that in some way incorporates sand. It could be sanded edges, sandpaper, actual sand, or a beach scene to name a few.
But please, behave in the sandbox...no kicking or throwing sand and above all don't eat the sand. Chocolate works much better for this challenge.
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON Monday September 24th.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, SEP12VSNK , when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure you layout is seen.

It is so good to see you back in here. Great challenge. Great sample. I've already "soiled" myself with glitter today. Don't know if I'll use real sand, but I'm up for a take on it.

CONGRATS on 40 years!!! That's SO AMAZING to me... I'm not sure how my teachers made it 40 MINUTES with me, so I know you are one fabulous chick!!!!

Thanks, Michelle. I'm sure you weren't that awful. No bad students, just bad choices sometimes....that's what I tell my students.
I was a math and science chick, so those art classes I was forced to take really frosted me... if only I knew...

I LOVE THE BEACH!! Which is probably why I decided to bottle that sand from Ocean City, MD, years ago, and conveniently hid it on one of my crafting shelves...
I dream of sandy beaches :-D Thank you for this challenge, JoAnn!
I don't have any sand images or sandy color in this card - I thought if I did a beach scene, the sand would be implied. I'm hoping that's still within the guidelines of the challenge.

I know I'm very late but it is still Sunday here and this is my last card. It was just unfortunate that my laptop played up this morning when this challenge went live at 7am here and by the time I got it sorted and moved my other cards accross that I had already done I had to let this one go until now.
Still better late than never and it was one I had very firm ideas about and really enjoyed doing. Thank's for a great challenge JoAnn.
Here's my card Bon Voyage
Good afternoon ladies! It took me a bit to get motivated today but here's my second card for today (missed four challenges yesterday so I still have two more to go):
Thanks for this challenge, Pulled out some of my favorite stamps to work with for it, Summer by the sea (child building sand castles & Sentiment) and the Sanded background stamp
