Title: All That Glitters...
Hostess: Toni (ravengirl)
Keyword: AUG11VSNMINI4
Day/Date: Friday, July 29th
Time: 8:00pm EST
Are you having a great time at The Rodeo??? I sure am! It's my turn to offer up a challenge and all I can think about is that darlin' Rodeo Queen. I have some experience with our local rodeo. I live in a "rural" setting, you see. The rodeo grounds are less than a mile away, as the crow flies. And when the rodeo is in full swing, you can hear the speakers from the rodeo from my front porch!
This year, one of our lovely little neighbor girls was crowned as the 2011 Sedro Woolley Rodeo Queen. Well, she isn't such a little girl anymore. Come to think of it, I'm not sure if I have ever thought of her as little. She's been fixin' fences and taggin' calves for as long as I have known her! Anyway, this is her year to shine as a Queen! Did you check out her fancy get up? It absolutely sparkles! Folks, all that glitters, is not gold....It's Sequins!!!
In honor of all those past and present Rodeo Queens, my challenge for you is to USE SEQUINS on your project!
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 8:00 PM EST ON Monday, August 1st.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, AUG11VSNMINI4 when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your project is seen.
Very clever to use sequins--a bling I don't go to often and after gluing individual sequins in a small area and slipping a couple of more levels into hades, I probably won't go to them again (note: hostesses have a preview of the challenges to make samples just in case you were wondering.)

Exactly why I kept my sequins on the thread ... LOL
Okay, I should have been thinking how to use these sequins, before now! LOL Have them, and can't think how to use them! And I was even waiting for this challenge!

Okay, be back.
Sharon
That's what all the samples are for.... just cruise the gallery a bit.
stumped on this one trying to think of anywhere I may have sequins...might be sitting this one out too.
DIY!!! See posts above.... "Punch some holes out of metallic paper or aluminum foil. We're all either half blitzed or tired and won't be able to tell the difference--seriously! "

Toni, I don't think I've ever attended a rodeo and I'm really impressed by the amazing outfit on the Rodeo Queen! Wowee. If I ever get to finish work I can start working on these fine challenges. I will be back..
