Default AUG10VSNB ~ Friday, Aug. 27, 7:00pm EST ~ Summer Breeze Makes Me Feel Fine

AUG10VSNB ~ Friday, Aug. 27, 7:00pm EST ~ Summer Breeze Makes Me Feel Fine

Title: "Summer Breeze"
Hostess: peggysue/peggysue
Keyword: AUG10VSNB
Day/Date: Friday, August 27th
Time: 7 PM EST

"Summer breeze makes me feel fine blowing through the jasmine in my mind" . . .Seals and Crofts

One of my favorite parts about summer are those breezy sort of days when you can have the windows open and the curtains fluttering. I love fresh air, actually am not a fan of air conditioning at ALL and have constant battles with family members who turn it on while I walk by to turn it off!

My challenge is to create a card that has a 'window' as either as a style element or to form a focal point for your main image. It can be as simple as a cutout or punched shape on your front panel with the image or sentiment on the inside, or you can create a shadowbox card, as is shown in this tutorial here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=33693.

A normal shadowbox card would have 1/2" indentations on either side, I made my shadowbox vertical instead of horizontal because it fit the images better, and only put a 1/4" fold on the sides. Still stands up and will fit into a standard sized A2 envelope for mailing.

VIEW THE GALLERY FOR THIS CHALLENGE HERE

UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:

1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON Monday, August 30th.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, AUG10VSNB, when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.

It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure you layout is seen.

I've got mine done, looking thru a window at some trees, but my window is very simple, with no cross bars. I'll upload later.

Hey that reminds me--We need our windows cleaned badly. Just got the outside of the house painted. Looks gorgeous! But now the windows desperately need cleaning.

OK I'll think about this some more. I'm thinking nesties!
