Arrow Aug16VSBN02 - Scrapping Decathlon - Event #2 Long Jump

Welcome to 2016 Scrapping Decathlon
Event #2 - Long Jump

"Some sports have records that may never be broken... While world and Olympic records are being set all over the place down in Rio and in more recent years at the Olympics and other various international competition, the records for the long jump and high jump seemingly have been maxed out." Although the Rio 2016 Olympics are ending today, it's just the start of our SCS 2016 Olympic Event. This year we'll be having a Scrapping Decathlon. Are you up to the Challenge? Just like the Olympics, you have 17 Days to complete our Scrappy Events

Event #2 - Long Jump
"The Olympic record goes back even further to Bob Beamons legendary leap at the 1968 Olympics. So the gold medal long jump this year still fell more than a half-meter shy of the world record.

Scrapping Event #2
"The long jump is a track and field event in which athletes combine speed, strength, and agility in an attempt to leap as far as possible from a take off point. This event takes a combination of abilities and has a definite starting point. For our Scrapping Challenge, the Starting Point is Use DSP (printed paper) for your Base. The next step will be listed by the person who posts next in the thread.

So, the first person to jump in on this challenge will use the Starting Point of DSP (printed paper) and will add Photo Corners to at least one of the Photos. This next challenger will List one item in their post so the 3rd person in the Challenge will still start with DSP (printed paper) and will use the item the 2nd challenger lists and so on ...

Winning Gold, Silver or Bronze
Win A Gold -- Use Base DSP, Include the Item Listed by previous challenger, do 2nd Page with same challenge or use the item more than once on your page
Win A Silver -- Use Base DSP, Include the Item Listed by Previous challenger,
Win A Bronze -- Use Base DSP,

I will jump in! I will use printed paper and add a die cut to it. Is that the right way, Lela?

Thanks Sharon, since you're 2nd you will use DSP base and use Photo corners for your add on item.

You'd listed Diecut so the next person in line (Patti) she will use DSP base and Diecut

The next scrapper will use DSP base and Ribbon (that's what Pattie posted) then they will post an item for the next challenge participant to use ....

Fun, fun! Off to a great Scrappy Olympic Start

My contribution to this challenge: Use 3 "somethings" that are either gold, silver or bronze. Like brads or something shinny. (Examples: 3 embossed flowers, 3 brads - in one of the metals.)

Here is my page using ribbons and DSP as my base.

I'm taking up Joyce's challenge and will look for three metal (medal!) things for my layout. I challenge the next person to add a Project Life style card to her layout.

I'm next! I'll use DSP and do it in project life style. I challenge the next person to use just one, big picture on your layout.

That took longer than I thought!! Well, I couldn't find my cutter to cut the pictures so I had to improvise. No worries, though! I did find the cutter while looking for my acrylic block...AFTER everything was already cut!

So, here it is! At Osmond's Beach by pcousins13 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

Here's my layout. The metal I used is pretty tarnished so it looks very dark, but hopefully it still counts. At any rate, this challenge encouraged me to dig into my stash and use some items I hadn't even looked at for a long time, so thanks Lela and Joyce Ann!
