How do all you lovely ladies store your Plain Janes? I used to have mine in a looooong skinny tray, but since I moved my stamping space it doesn't exactly fit anywhere! I am looking for something else. Preferably something that has a lid and would allow me to flip through them? I just can't seem to find anything that is a good size. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!
Hi Debbie! I use business card size sheet protectors from the office supply store and a thin three ring binder. The protectors are about $4-5 for a pack of 10 and each sheet fits 10 plain janes, so you can store 100 with just one pack. Since the plain jane inserts are business card size, they fit perfectly and you can just slide the stamp behind the printed card and flip through them easily.
Thanks, Julee!!! I have a binder and some of those protectors. I never would have thought of it. Thanks
Toni, I have the rest of my Verve in Kassett boxes from Ikea (as well as most of my other stamps, too). I really like to be able to flip through them, and I like that they are "hidden" in my Expedit bookshelf. I use the larger upright size for the large sets and a CD size box for smaller sets. I can't find those sizes on their website. I hope they haven't discontinued them!
I hang my Verve sets on a 2 tiered clip it up and store them by size. Smaller sizes on the top tier and the larger ones on the bottom tier. With all the sets we've released, the bottom is getting a little crowded, but I think I could move some of the 4x6 sets to the top and stick to only one unit for a while longer.
Other clear stamps I just store in photo boxes sorted by company.
The clip it up is on sale, too!! 50% off I think !!! My DH bought me a mini for Christmas to use for some of my dies
Oh, I'm going to have to check it out! I LOVE the clip-it-ups. Have a double for stamps, a double for bags of seam binding and flowers and a mini for some of my favorite ribbons. Not sure why I hadn't thought about one for my dies. Definitely going to have to see if I can pick up another mini while they're on sale!
Location: In my stamping room,of course (Summerlin, NV)
Thanks for asking this Debbie I have moved all of my Verve to Kassett boxes and the Plain Janes are just too little! Love the binder idea, glad Julee mentioned business card size cause that gives me an idea!
Ok, since we are talking about stamps storage, I have a problem with unity stamps, in Australia they come in bags, I have them in a wooden cutlery box, but I just forget to lookin the box, and I never use them.
