Hi everyone! It's Andrea here ringing in October and I'm really excited to be hosting this month's Get Your Diva On Challenge! I'm so hoping you'll play along with us, I *think* this may be a fun event for all you cleverly talented ladies! Before I get to this month's topic, let me give you some specifics:
Each month a different Diva will "host" a week long challenge. The challenge itself is up to the Diva hostessing, so you never know what it's going to be! Isn't that kind of exciting?!! The Get Your Diva On Challenge will start on the 2nd Monday of every month. Participants will have until the following Sunday night (October 16th) at 9 pm Mountain to enter. The winner will be announced Tuesday, October 18th. We'd LOVE to see you use your Verve stamps, but if you don't have any, we'd still love to see your creations!!
The winner of the challenge (chosen by Julee) will get a$100 Gift Certificate for the Verve Store!
October 2011 Challenge: Handmade Happiness!Incorporate a home made embellishment on your card or project! Could be knitted, crocheted, of paper or fabric origin, painted, etc... As long as there is one element on the project (haha...besides the project itself!) that is handmade...you're in!We want everyone to play, so put those thinking caps on and show us your homespun creativity!!!
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your card to our gallery: If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... GYDOOct2011. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the GYDOOct2011 Gallery.
If you've already uploaded your card, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the GYDOOct2011 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.
Please make sure you use the keyword GYDOOct2011 when uploading so we can find your creations in one place.

A hint for some...I surf around Pinterest when looking for ideas...there and Martha Stewart Crafts website...let someone else come up with the idea and then you execute... :>)

Oh, wow! I can't believe how beautifully the gallery is filling up! I'm working today, but will be home tonight to leave some *comment love*! Everything I see is simply amazing...
Holy Wow, Batman! Can I just tell you that my arsenal of flowers/flower making has just risen to epic proportions? I am gonna be a flower makin' fool in the next few weeks, let me tell you! (Hopefully I WILL be flower makin' and NOT just makin' a fool of myself, lol!) I can't say thank you enough, ladies, for all of your FABULOUS inspiration!
