Hi Verve fans! It's June already, and time for the next Get Your Diva On Challenge! Woohooo!
For those of you that are new to these challenges, not only is a fun way to challenge your stamping skills, but one lucky participant will be chosen to be the next GUEST DIVA! Here's a little more info on that...
Each month a different Diva will "host" a week long challenge. The challenge itself is up to the Diva hostessing, so you never know what it's going to be! Isn't that kind of exciting?!! The Get Your Diva On Challenge will start on the 2nd Monday of every month. Participants will have until the following Sunday night (June 19th) at 9 pm Mountain to enter. The winner will be announced Tuesday, June 21st. We'd LOVE to see you use your Verve stamps, but if you don't have any, we'd still love to see your creations!!
The winner of the challenge (chosen by Julee) will get to be a Guest Diva in an upcoming release AND will receive all of the stamps/dies for that release for free! They will also get to play along with the Divas during the pre-release Spotlights as well as at the Release Party!! How's THAT for exciting?!!
So what is this month's challenge? I'm glad you asked! Your challenge, should you choose to accept it (Teeheehee) is a theme! The theme is Bring on the Summer, Sunshine, and Blue Skies!
What does this mean? Well, the interpretation is up to you!! Whether you are inspired by the colors of summer, the feeling of sunshine, or prefer to incorporate some blue sky into your project...you are only limited by your imagination! When you upload your creation, make sure to tell us how you were inspired!
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your card to our gallery: If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... GYDOJune2011. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the GYDOJune2011 Gallery.
If you've already uploaded your card, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the GYDOJune2011 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.
Make sure you use the keyword GYDOJune2011 when you upload so that we can see all of the challenge creations in one place!

**Teresa rocked the blue skies theme! With a GORGEOUS butterfly and some seriously awesome puffy ric-rac, it is sure to bring a smile!
**Moe's bringin' on the sunshine with her stunning creation! A whole lotta warm and happy in one card!
**My sun-shaped card is pure wishful thinkin' on my part! Here in Montana our sun is playing hide-and-seek (more hiding if you ask me), but I'm holding out hope for some warm rays soon!

I have been mulling over what I am going to do. Hubby is leaving to go camping tonight, so I will be playing in my craft room after my daughter goes to bed.
such a fun challenge I just had to make a second one....especially after I saw what the Color Throwdown Combo was!! So my card shows off this weeks color combo as well as this months GYDO theme!!

What a fun theme for this month's challenge! I dreamed this one up while doing the dishes this morning and looking out the window at my neighbor's sunflowers that are just starting to bloom! Sunshine for my Soul

Here's summer and sunshine, and a leafy trellis, with colorful flowers, and a blue bird that sings to me of summer. Hope you don't mind but I made a card organizer not a card. My summer sunshine blue skies card organizer.
