Anyone have the swine flu? Wow. Kinda scary - I'm going to have to stay home all week just to be safe.
Hi everyone! Well, we are looking at about 2 months before it's safe. And the risk is really traveling by air...you don't know where anyone has been and you are breathing their air! It will take awhile for the CDC to get all the feedback from doctors throughout the US and Canada. Keep washing hands...although having kids is really the biggest problem. They are just little incubators.

Or co-workers that have little kids!!!! I'm forever picking up stuff that my co-workers bring in. Because they have some idea in their head that they "need" to come into the office when they're sick. Stay home!!!!! I don't want your cold.

Well, the boss could always take everyone's temperature when they arrive to start work! They'll be doing that at the airport as the crisis gets worse.

Hi Candy! Yeah, it's gonna be awhile before it's "safe" whatever that turns out to be. I just hope Karl doesn't catch it. If he brings it home, there's very little chance I won't get it. I have a chest cough and a fever today, and just don't feel really well. I joked with DH that I have swine flu. Most of the drivers he works with transport between Mexico and Utah - perfect route to get all the exposure one needs.

You have classic flu symtoms, you are just missing the body aches....and the shivers....I always get the shivers along with the fever. I've had the "real" flu twice in my life...and always ended up with a secondary infection...which is why I am just now coming to the surface. Caught the flu in February and have had two courses of antibiotics...sinus infection then ear infection. So, I am waiting to decide if I'm going back for more...
happy Anniversary Unity......looks like some fun to be had.....i hope to play along and celebrate too.
curious about the challenges COLORS listed, do they have to be SU colors or just whatever you have that is close? i can't seem to find a general thread about those color names in reference to challenges. thanks.

If you don't have the SU papers, just pick something you do have that's close.

Ow Candy! No, I think I'm having a bout of irritable bowel syndrome. I've had the flu (many times) and like you, the secondary infection or the relapse kills me. I'm required to get the flu and pneumonia vaccines because of the immune issue.
Hi Jimmi!! Glad you finally found something important to do - chat with us!

I posted a link on my blog with a website that has those colors and CTMH colors so you can look at them and find whatever you have that is comparable

I guess then your news is good news ...but the vaccine folks don't think vaccines will help with this new flu, which is why they just raised the threat level...137 confirmed so far in the US....and they have to figure out quickly how they are going to contain it. I have to admit I glad I no longer work for public health...I'd be sleeping and eating 24/7 at work.
