do you have a wii? if you do it is 100% worth it! no joke! I never thought it would do what it does. It can measure if if you are even .1% leaning to left or right and stuff like that! The yoga is great. It takes a while to get used to it if you have never done yoga before. The strength exercises are amazing!!!!!!!! And they have the fun balance games. And you can hold the wii remote and run and it will count it. I *heart* wii fit! :

I love my Wii fit! I just got the new Jillian Michaels workout for the Wii. So far I like it! I used it tonight and I do feel like I got a good workout with it even though I only used it for 10 min. then I used my elliptical for 8 minutes. I ate great and got my required amount of water in!

Good job to all you girls for posting here! It's really helping me!

I guess you can use it without the fit board but I have one. You create a person and then you have to do challenges either cardio or strength training. She gives tips and stuff. I only used it for 10 minutes so I'm still not sure all it does. As I learn it I will post more info.

I'm gonna try out the Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred workout. It's free on demand--somehow, had missed that one-maybe it's new.
Oh, I've like completely cut out my diet coke and I can't even believe it! I've just been sucking down water, like 3 liters a day at least and it's not even hard (very wierd). So there's just no time for diet coke, lol!

AWESOMMEEE JOb, everyone! You are totally inspiring and motivating meee!

WHAT??? You gave up Diet Coke completely! WHAT?????

I've had it a few times, but I don't crave it anymore, which is cool!

Let me know how you like the Jillian Michaels Shred... I'm thinking about getting it from Netflix to try it out...

GREAT Job, everyone!!!

I only didn't do Wii Fit on Sunday. I just finished doing it today... that is 8 days so far, and almost 9 lbs. lost! Wahoo!!!

Oh my holy rice cakes!!! That is AWEsome, Jess! I'm soooo proud of you--hope I make it to the 8th day! Inspiring, that's what you guys are!!! And yesssss!! I haven't had a diet coke in like, 3-4 days, I think! I'm drowning from all the water! And I love it!! Soda is so expensive, ya know!
-k- I just finished my first 30 min. Shred work-out and I've concluded that Jillian Michaels is evil! No no, really--she kicks gluteous maximus--what I totally need, so it's really good!! It was hard for me, but I finished it and now feel all accomplished, lol! So to answer your question, Jess, I think it's great and as long as I keep it up, I'm certain to see results soon.

It's pretty cold here but not like some of you girls. Keep warm by getting that heart rate up!

So tell me, please!

We are at 21 degrees, and it has been snowing all day. Hubby's school let out two hours early, and has already been called off for tomorrow. (doggone it, wouldn't you know it is for a Thursday again--now I can't be glued to the computer for Hip Hop, for the SECOND week in a row!!!)

But, since you asked, Robyn... I did Wii Fit again today. That makes 9 days total, with just Sunday off. I think I'm going to do that every week--just Sundays off. I really feel my muscles... I hope that means that they are getting stronger. I did backslide and eat ice cream yesterday. BUT, I cooked a super healthy dinner tonight, and ate well during the day too. I am glad I decided to set small goals... even though I have a ton of work to do to get to my ultimate goal, the small goals make it seem achievable!!!

I am having trouble this week with getting enough water. Last week I was drinking tons, and peeing all day long! This week for some reason, I've been forgetting. I don't know why....

How's everyone else doing!!

YOU CAN DO IT!!! Keep up the great work!!

Ugh. The scale is NOT budging. I've been doing an hour of cardio a day for 5 days a week, eating better and less, and nothing. So I talked to my sister (super trainer) who told me that your body likes to hold onto water etc for 4-6 weeks, and then all of a sudden it lets it go, so I've got to keep at it. It is rather frustrating though.

Keep it up, once your body decided it is going to accept what you are doing, that weight will fall right off! If nothing else you will be a healthier person. I'm waiting for my clothes to feel looser, but until then, I just feel better about myself for trying.

yes I am Guilty. I was so busy yesterday I had no time, and then I got 1 1/2 hours sleep last night so I am in NO mood to exercise or do much of anything at all today. but tomorrow I PROMISE to be back on track. If I don't exercise I will give away a unity stamp, that's how serious I am!

Life happens, you just have to get back on track. Yesterday was ucky for me too. DH messed up my plans, he was grumpy which made me grumpy. We did go to the Y, but I only walked for 1/2 hour cuz all I wanted to do was cry. So then of course I didn't do too great on the eating. Too much snacking. So today I did 1-1/2 hours of cardio and did fine with the eating.

Hey girls, glad to see even though life happens we are still trying to get a little bit in. I'm visiting my parents this weekend and hopefully I can stay on track! It's always tough here. No good place to exercise and its freezing outside! I'll figure something out!

since we are moving I won't be able to do wii fit since the wii isn't ours. BUT I am typing up all of the workout and I will draw little pics of what they look like so I can still do them without having to use the game! These workouts really do it for me! I am going to type up the yoga positions too! I didn't work out yesterday, but I have today and tomorrow off so I will definitely be doing it!

you go girl! Hope you are in a better place today. Exercise is so good for mental health. But you are putting me to shame. An hour and a half of cardio! I feel good if I can squeeze in a half hour. lol! I'm off to the treadmill right now (even though I want to go stamp!).

Progess is being made, Becky, even if the scale isn't showing it. It is frustrating when you want to see those numbers fall, BUT how are you feeling? Remember that is what is important, not what that stinky ol' scale says. Keep at it, you are doing awesome!

Yeah, it works because we got a 6-month Y membership, so I just drop Adam off at the Treehouse (the Y childcare) and go sweat! There's no way I'd be able to do it otherwise!
Chad's been stressed about work this week, but was better yesterday. We even had date night! We went to dinner at Baker's Square and then saw James Bond (again). It was nice!

well, I don't have to suck in my stomach AS MUCH as before, so as long as the clothes fit better, I'm not worried about the scale. In fact, I never even owned a scale until Adam was born. Maybe I should go back to that!
It's been so cold and DRY this week that even running indoors makes my airways hurt a bit, yuck.

For those of you who have airway issues, try this: get a small spray bottle (Walmart has a 3 inch tall one with a little pump top), put about 1/2 inch of glycerin (sold at most pharmacies over the counter - labeled for skin protection, but safe to ingest), and 2 inches of water. Shake well. This bottle is small enough to fit in a pocket if you're outdoors.

My doctor prescribed this for me because I cannot make saliva. I just squirt a little in my mouth when I'm feeling dry, etc.

Yay Jenn!!! My goal is to do 2 hours of cardio each day (walking fast on the treadmill) or more to lose weight and to be ready to enter races this spring.

Someone, PLEASE, keep me accountable!! I start on Monday.

Okay, so those of you who are doing the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred--do you like it? Tell me about it... I am on the list for it at my library, but it is only like 8.99 or something on Amazon right now... so I need more info first!!

I am starting to get a little bored with the Wii Fit.... so I'm looking for some things to switch it up with, maybe a video or 2 that I can do on alternating days. With the weather the way it is, I think videos or Wii during Isaac's nap is the only way I can exercise for now...

Any video suggestions?

Jess, I used to do Billy Blanks TaeBo, and let me tell you, it works! I'm interested in Jillian's 30 day shred too.

Thanks Becky! I didn't make the 2 hour mark, but I got 1 hour 15 minutes in. Somebody dumped another domestic bunny. So, my workout got interrupted. She's so sweet and absolutely bone thin with sores on her hocks and ears. Why oh why do PEOPLE *DO* THIS TO an animal with NO defenses??? Grrrrrr!
