Louis can dance, but I can't stand his facial expressions. And he's a little too "girly" for my taste. Seems like a nice guy though.
Kelly did okay but they gushed a little too much. I did watch her season and really thought John Hurley deserved to win over her. And I NEVER liked the pro she was partnered with then.
Melissa was the first non-"star" on the show, the first "reality star". She came on at the last minute to replace someone, can't remember who. She was on the Bachelor.
Joey was my favorite. He may not be the best dancer but I think he is fun to watch. I also liked Apollo.
I would have liked to see Mel B come back. I thought she was really good.
They did this before. I thought it was because she was on an ABC show and they wanted her to win.
If I remember correctly they even showed the previews for her show during commericals.

I was shocked to see Drew in the bottom 2. That really surprised me. Does he not have a fan base anymore?
Trish
I wasn't sure (had a lot going on during the show so I was distracted)... was Drew the legit second to last finisher or was it one of those "it could have been anyone" deals? If he was the "real" second to last, I find that hard to believe!!!
I have to believe there were some that were asked and turned it down, Kelly and maybe the Osmonds? One of my kids was telling me that Misty May (volleyball) wanted to get in the all-star season, but she was turned down. I didn't hear that personally, but how could they put her in an all-star season when she was injured so early on? I would be OK if they brought her back in a "regular" season....

They said that Pam and Drew were in the bottom 2. I was shocked and so I rewound that part and played it again. Yep, the bottom 2 couples.
just watched DWTS for the first time in years. really enjoy the level of performance offered by the all-stars. everyone (with the exception of Bristol Palin) really did an outstanding job. Think Bristol should be voted off - she's just not at the same level as the other dancers.
Let's see... loved Gilles, Helio and Sabrina the most. Melissa has the prettiest lines and the body of a dancer. Didn't think Emmitt was near as good as Week 1, but part of it was that suit... it was really awful! It was distracting me!!! I thought Kirstie was the worst and should go home, with Bristol a close second. Kirstie's "look" was not cute... that wig!

My mom said she looked like a man in drag. LOL She doesn't seem to have the same spark that she did the first time she was on the show. (I still like her, though. I hope I'm still that hip at 61.)

No kidding! If I didn't know for a fact that she was over 60 I would NEVER believe it!
really shocked that Joey was sent home!
I thought it would have been Bristol and Kirstie, they really have people voting for them.
Not sure Drew will make it to the end, but I do enjoy watching him dance and his routine with Cheryl (Save a Horse...) will always be my favorite.

So sorry that Joey went home. I think this show is supposed to be entertaining, and that is exactly what Joey does - he entertains. Bristol has no rhythm and I think she has the personality of a wet mop. Apology in advance to all you Bristol fans, but I really think they brought her back to this show for the "much ado about nothing" factor.

They brought her back to cause controversy. I mean, choosing her over someone like Kyle, not to mention others? WRONG...
I'm pretty sure that at the end of the show, Tom says something like "be sure to vote for your favorites if you want to see them again", not "be sure to vote for the best dancer or who you think is the best dancer". So yes, it's definitely a popularity contest and they encourage it.

Well I take that to mean vote for your favorite dancer or performance. I just don't understand why ANYONE would vote for Bristol Palin. I'm not saying she isn't a perfectly nice girl, but their is NOTHING entertaining about her. She's not funny, she doesn't give an interesting performance, she has no sense of rhythm. So I cannot understand why anyone votes for her. I have voted for people in the past that I had never even heard of before just because they had a good performance.
And the thing that REALLY bugs me is why they ever brought her back to begin with. Her and Pam Anderson (who was justifiably the first to go). All the other stars are pretty good dancers. Kirstie may not be the best dancer, but she did do a good job during her season and she is at least entertaining.
I agree, it made me really angry that Joey who 1- has a great personality, 2- is very entertaining and 3- uhhh, was doing a great job with the DANCING! ended up going home. I missed her dance on Monday, but did see the recap last night and I agree with Sandilotter, Bristol had no personality and what I saw of her dance was not good.
I don't have anything against her as a person, but just don't get what all the Bristol fans are loving about her. I have never seen any sparkling effervescence that makes me say 'gosh I really like her'. I knew nothing about Melissa prior to her being on the show other than she'd been on the Bachelor, but that was my opinion of her almost from the get go.
I don't think any of the comments about Bristol have been nasty. This IS an entertainment forum. There happen to be people that don't find her entertaining. I have not said anything negative about her as a person. I know nothing of her. It is my opinion that her dancing and entertainment skills are not comparable to the others.
