School starts tomorrow? OMG, where did summertime go? I haven't gotten to play with my friends, didn't get to go on vacation? I didn't get to sleep late any days... wahhh. I don't wanna go to school tomorrow. I don't have my new clothes or school supplies yet. (stamping my feet, pouting and throwing a tantrum!!!)
I'm going to start baking tomorrow. It's been awhile since i've really been able to cook in my kitchen and bake new things so I decided tomorrow with the start of school I am going to try out some new recipes and some that I haven't had in awhile.
Send some my way... I haven't either in a long time because I need to clean my oven, but it heats up the house waaaaaaaay too much to clean in the summer! I try to only do that in the winter time!
I remembered another thing I'm working on starting today. My posture. It's atrocious, I know that, but seeing myself in some of those Porcha pictures was a less than pleasant reminder. So I am now making a really concerted effort to sit up straight and hold in my abs while I'm sitting at my desk all day.
I need to work on that too. I didn't notice that your posture was bad!

The kids make a ton of noise and it makes Riley crazy (crazier than normal).
He started running around the house like a loon so I marched straight outside with him to throw a ball - with statement in hand.
I put the statement on the table on the porch and there it was!
So I'm in back finally making my lunch.
I have to stop b/c 2 customers came in.
What are they doing?
Shopping? Surely not. Having a chat about schools...

I can't eat. So hungry!
Grrr! Shop or get the heck out!

I'm looking for my inner athlete, but I'm afraid I may have eaten her.
My smoothie is so good. I think I made a wise choice in going out. And, instead of getting one of the ones I normally like, which have sherbet in them, I got one that has just strawberries, bananas, apple juice, non-fat yogurt, and protein powder. Healthy, and it should keep me full until dinner time.

Day two of Detox went well.. Walked 4 miles instead of 3 and ate healthy
I think I may go to the Lake today with a Friend of mine from High School & our kids.. Two adults and 4 kids in a row boat.... Should be interesting.. lol
Has anyone heard of P90X? I have two friends that want me to do it with them. My friend Shannon just got it in the mail and thinks she will be able to stick with it if we do it as a group thing.. I have heard a few things about it, but not a lot.
Posted the last of my Pic's on FB.. Pics of the lodge, etc.
Ok.. Well off I go to shower.. Have a wonderful day!
I'm glad that your detox is going well.
Yes, we have P90X. It's a really good workout. I just don't have time to exercise that long.
I have a visitor coming to sit with me again today. I'm going to have to log off when she gets here. Yuck. I hate to say it, but I really don't care for this girl all that much. She's one of those "how we do it is so much better than you..." kind of people. I hope it goes by quickly.
Oh I didn't tell you all what happened on Monday. I was so wrapped up in trip planning I forgot to mention it...
So my niece (brian's actually) has been babysitting for us and on Monday she watches Kamren and Tatum, my niece and nephew; as well. One of the girls remodeling the house called me Monday at 330 and said that Tiff had been asleep on the couch all day. The kids weren't dressed, they hadn't been fed at all and at one point my nephew who is 1 was locked in a bedroom all alone screaming at the top of his lungs.
Apparently this isn't the first time. I sent Brian home immediately (I work 40 mins away)
I just noticed that that recipe I'm making calls for quick cooking oats. I'm pretty sure the ones I have at home are just regular old fashioned oats. Think that's ok?

I don't know. I made that mistake with grits once, and they were very hard.
My back muscles are so weak. It's amazing how just a few hours of sitting here and forcing myself to sit up straight really works the muscles when they're not used to it.

Hmmm...I don't know. It probably depends on how they are prepared.

They're just kind of mixed up with flour and melted butter and sugar and half of the mixture is baked as the crust and then the other half goes on top as a crumble and the dish gets baked again.
I think I'm going to go for it. I don't feel like making a stop at the store when I have to clean and bake when I get home.

HBE sounds really good. I should make some of those for my breakfast. Today I brought back my apple and had some dry cracklin' oat bran for a snack.
I decided I need to get back into the habit of boiling eggs at the beginning of the week to have for breakfast or snack. I was good about it for months and then just sort of slacked off. So this week I'm back on track!

I really get tired of the same thing over and over. I was really good all winter and spring about bringing my lunch. 98% of the time I had tuna sandwiches. I'm so tired of them, I haven't made my lunch for many weeks.

I think that's partly why I stopped boiling eggs. For months I had an egg and a bowl of Kashi cereal for breakfast every weekday and I got so sick of them. After taking a break for a while, now I'm back on that for the time being.
