Kate's definitely looked better in her head. The thing is, I understood her perspective on it. She got involved in the concept over the reality.

This season just really has me scratching my head! I think so many of them have had the goal of "getting by", not WINNING.

I couldn't believe Alexandria was safe - I thought her look was boring and uninspired. Kate's look - OH MY! I think on a thin model, maybe one of those pleated gussets would have been ok (maybe as a kick pleat almost train thing). Not sure why Alexander decided to play on his last name NOW.

I loved Dom's & Bradon's - I wish they could have been co-winners.

How come no one pegged Helen on the placement of her print?? There was a half circle of stars right at the crotch (and small dot on each boob - I would see that immediately if I tried on the garment...not a large dot, but I am very aware of where the print is on my body).

You can definitely tell in the up close inspections after the runway show that the construction of Kate & Justin's looks was bad - the pace of the competition is showing.

I know it is a cut throat competition but I would love to see a different scoring system where a designer can have one off week and not go auf. Something more cumulative.

Kate's construction was bad - the back of that skirt was something like a kid would sew.

I couldn't believe Alexandra was safe either.

I'm glad Dom won - she "sewed" her dress - Bradon really just "sewed" the jacket. he cut slits in the tube, hemmed them and added that piece on the bottom.

I see Dom, Helen and Bradon as the top 3.

With the suggested budget of $500 this week, and everyone going WAY over that budget, I would love to know how much the final looks cost (fabric/notion wise). I don't think any of them used half of the fabric they bought. I haven't looked on the PR website, but is there a way for fans to track how much each designer has spent?

I don't know if there is, but almost all spent over $1000, I think one was $998 or something like that. Some of them did say they had been saving and not spending the suggested amounts and was going to spend more.

I would have liked to see Helen's cape/coat with her dress. I bet when the model took it off and reveled the dress, it would have been better.

I wish Alexandria would have gone home. I hope the other 4 all go to fashion week.

Wow! I think they came to the right decision in the end. I think Bradon and Dom are just fantastic.I think Alexandra might be the one eliminated next week from competing at the show her revisit of the punk era when they talked about her stylings probably not going to work. I'm not surprised what they said about Justin's work I still think he's not quite there yet. And Helen I'm on the fence about sometimes it's sublime and other times it's like yeah I've seen it before.

I think the judges copped out. They just should have had some guts and eliminated both Alexandria and Helen last night. It was the avant garde challenge, and in my opinion neither of them met the challenge.

LOVED Braden's white concoction. It reminded me of the meringue on top of a pie.

I also don't understand why they hate orange.

I thought that Helen bought several shades of orange. I think that ombre effect would have made her dress a little better. The cape was just weird.

She did use the different colors - the lightest on top etc.

There wasn't enough contrast between the fabrics that she chose. For a true ombre effect, the top would have needed to be super pale (almost white looking on the runway), and super dark on the bottom (practically brown).

But let's face it, ombre is not avant garde. People are doing it to their HAIR, for Pete's sake. And even the style of her dress and the technique she used are nothing new. I think she completely missed the boat on this one.

I thought Alexandra's sewing school was so cute!

And I was surprised by the number "going to fashion week".

I didn't care for what Helen showed the judges. Alexandria's stuff was okay but nothing special. I think the only reason she is going is because Heidi likes her stuff. The other judges don't seem to like her.

Alexandria's collection reminded me of a comment Michael Kors made during a runway show judging (and it may have been about Emilio's collection) - "is it a line or is it a collection?" What I saw looked more like a line of clothing.

Helen's collection, I just don't get it. I get the cape was the common thread, but Tim hated her cocoon cape in the avant garde challenge, I was a bit surprised that he suggested it. (and is it me, or is this the first time Tim gave out actual DIRECTION (he told Dom "use knits", Helen "use capes"), in the past he has said "you need to think about it"?) I don't get the capes that don't allow arm movement. (I know, runway, not wearable...)

Alexandria's outfits looked very similar to things I've seen on the runways this year, so I think Zac's comment that they're nothing new is probably going to come back to haunt her. And her colors were so bland for a spring collection. I think she's fighting an uphill battle at this point, especially if Heidi is the only one wowed by them.

Helen's dresses were gawd-awful, IMO. I'm not surprised she was sent home. But I also thought she should have been sent home the week before....

Justin's two outfits were fabulous (the all white ensemble and the non-conventional dress made out of test tubes). It was interesting to see the 3D printing objects.

I'm curious to see Dom's and Braden's collections. We haven't seen anything of Dom's other than the fabric swatches. I still think the winner will be one of them.

Well, I just cheated and went and looked at the final runway looks.

Dom, Bradon, Alexandria and Justin's.

I would say Dom and Justin's were the best.

Can I pick 'em, or what?

I love how she uses prints and colors.

I think the judges had a difficult time choosing the top 3 (I don't think Braden's final collection was that great and agree with him coming in 4th). Sounds like Alexandria beat out Justin in part because she chose better fabrics. But Justin should be very proud of what he accomplished and I bet he gets some offers.

Yeah. I think his fabric choice suffered from his 3D printing costs. So much innovation with his compared to Alexandria.

Totally agree that Bradon's lacked focus.

I thought Alexandria's looked better moving than in the stills I had seen.

I knew Dom had won it when Nina said she got the story from the runway and Zac said it was a tough story to conceptualize.

TBH I would have been okay with any of the top 3 winning.

So all stars next week...
And did you see psycho Sandro in the crowd. ..

IMHO, Dom was the clear winner. Bradon's collection was not cohesive, as the judges pointed out. Actually, it seemed ike 2 separate collections to me. And I just felt that Alexandria and Justin's collections, outside of the unconventional project, were a little boring. Dom took risks with her bold patterns which were all different but still the same in terms of architecture and design.

And I believe Ken the Tool was in the audience also. It was hard to see him, because he's so short.

I haven't paid that much attention to the ads, but the contestants I remember seeing weren't necessarily the top finishers during their season. And if the group includes Sandro, then I definitely question their motives because he is/was NOT an "all star" by any definition.

There's something weird about Alexandria. Looked like she had NO family there, just kids/people from her camp. She seems like a very unhappy and lonely person. And all that black that she wears and the lack of color. It's just depressing.

the reunion episode was interesting. Alexandria is just emotionally not right. How could she not acknowledge the things she said during the show? There is something not right with that girl.

And Sandro is certainly full of himself. So Zac Posen is jealous of him?!?!?! WTH???

At least Ken admitted his behavior was pretty bad and said if he could change things he would have acted differently.

And Alexander certainly seems a little bitter.

Justin seems the most humble and grateful for the experience.

I caught the rerun of the PR All Stars and actually enjoyed it very much. I'm so glad they brought Seth Aaron back! I love seeing his designs. And I loved the challenge. When I was in junior high school, two of my best friends and I dressed "punk" a couple of times and went out in public places just to see what kind of reaction we would get. One time we went to a bowling alley when it was packed with league bowlers! That was hysterical.
