Default new shows

So what new shows are you watching? I like Scorpion, Mysteries of Laura, Madam Secretary, and Stalker. I tried How to get away with murder but it felt too r-rated in my opinion.

From your list my DH and I enjoy Scorpion and Stalker. We also watch Forever and the new NCIS (New Orleans).

I haven't been able to get into the new NCIS but I do love Scott Bacula!

TBH, we're hoping it grows on us. Neither of us like the M.E. character played by CCH Pounder. Definitely not Ducky!

I agree! Only one ducky! I nearly had heart failure at the end of that episode on the beach when I thought they were killing him off!

DH and I like Scorpion and Madame Secretary. We're also watching the new NCIS, but mainly because we like Scot Bakula. (Still hard not to keep thinking of him as Captain Archer though. lol)

I haven't watched the show, the McCarthys??, but have you seen john Ritter's son? He's the spitting image of his father!

No, haven't watched that one. Haven't even seen any clips or previews of it. (That's because I only watch shows I've recorded because commercials make me nuts.) Now I'm going to have to look for it. I loved John Ritter.

I saw part of an interview the other day and when I switched channels tonight I caught the closing clips of the McCarthy's and saw him. You will know he's johns son the minute you see that sweet young face!

Watching Scorpion, Stalker, Madam Secretary, How To Get Away With Murder. Not sure about Red Band Society, Constantine, Gotham. In reality tv, I am watching the new show Project Runway Threads where kids design and sew clothes. Such talented young people.

I am loving Madame Secretary, How to get away with murder, and loving them. I have Constantine recording but haven't gotten to it yet. Tried NCIS New Orleans because I am from there and we just hated it. The accents are so so very bad it's painful. Undecided on Scorpions - hubby does that sort of work and says the show is so implausible he has trouble getting into it.

I am looking forward to the new TNT series The Librarians, which starts in December. I've seen all three of the TNT movies (several times each) and was really excited when I learned that they were making a series. I hope it's as entertaining as the movies.

I'd never heard of The Librarians, so I googled it. I think I will really enjoy it. Thanks so much for mentioning it! Going to make a note to set it up to record.

Still loving Madam Secretary, and liking Scorpion a lot. As much as I like Scot Bakula, it's probably not going to be enough for me to continue watching NCIS New Orleans. I just can't get into it. It's not terrible, but ...

I have been watching The McCarthy's. It's rather funny. I've also been watching Scorpion, Forever, and Constantine (all of which I am enjoying). I'm a big NCIS and Scott Bakula fan, so I had to watch New Orleans -- which is okay. I did see in the paper this morning that Dean Stockwell (also from Quantum Leap) is going to be on it this week.

I hope it's ok to jump in here? (I'm new so hoping I'm not hijacking a discussion). I have now finished How to Get Away With Murder, also watching Reign, and making my way through old episodes of Mike & Molly.

Welcome! My DH and I recently started old episodes of Mike&Molly ... we'll probably start from the beginning after the holiday rush.

I've got all 3 of The Librarians movies recorded, plus the premiere episode. So excited to have something all ready to go next time we have a movie marathon day.

Carraighill, of course it's okay to jump in here! The more the merrier.

I'm a huge NCIS fan, so was looking forward to NCIS NO, but after watching the first episodes--can't do it. The only likeable character is the female agent. Wish they had replaced Cote de Pablo with her instead of the blonde floor sitter.

LOL I so agree with you about the "blonde floor sitter". That NCIS is still one of my very favorite shows. I adore Gibbs, Tony and Abby. Love McGee and Ducky too, of course. I don't watch NCIS Los Angeles.

BTW, I thought Gibbs told her she couldn't sit on the floor anymore in a recent episode. haha

Now she sits on desks. Her eye brows drive me nuts BTW. I think NCIS NO would have been better if it was not so overboard on cliche and the actors accents weren't so very very bad. As for Cote De Pablo - I still haven't forgiven her for leaving the show.

Now I do still like Madam Secretary - it started off stronger than new shows really do I think. Not strained and fake. Mysteries of Laura is still a bit off.....

I am thinking I will like The Librarians too. Didn't know there were movies first - should I try to find them to watch first?

If you get TNT, they are showing the movies this weekend prior to the premiere of the series. I've yet to see any of the movies in their entirety, darn it! I keep catching one of them about 1/2 hour before it's over.

I'm looking forward to the new show and to attempting to see all three of the movies. Hmmm, might have to make popcorn!

Rainsong<---agrees about Cote, but would still welcome her back should decide to return.

OMG. Me too!!! They drive DH even crazier! Why in the world doesn't she pluck and/or dye them? If she's not a natural blonde then why dye her hair bonde?

I knew a girl in grade school and through high school with blonde hair and black eyebrows--all natural. Her younger brother had the same coloring. They looked good on them, but then, their brows didn't look like birds of prey.

WELL I am currently watching my first episode of the new show The Librarians on TNT. Saw a commercial and thought I would record it and try it out. WOW is it awful! OMG truly awful. It's like it COULD be good, it's almost a good idea but it is so beyond cheesy it's painful....

I recorded The Librarians, but haven't watched any of them yet. I was saving them for a rainy, lay around the house movie day. Shucks. Guess I better have a Plan B for my rainy day viewing, huh?

I tried, I really tried. Sat through two of the movies and the first episode. Didn't bother with the second but perhaps I should have as it may have explained the disappearance of Noah Wiley from the latest episode.

Yeah, it was so bad, I tried it again this Sunday just to see if it was as bad as I thought.

It was. Not even on par with National Treasure, which was entertaining if not quite Indiana Jones.

Sigh...

So, should I skip the movies and just watch the first episode to see if I agree it's as bad as I'm hearing? Or are the movies better than the series?
