Hi Lydia as long as the glue can take the weight of the cup you can use anything, I have used a Hot Glue, also a glue called Sugru which I have decided I like best. Lynne

One spilled coffee beans instead of flowers and was made into a wall clock! Not my cuppa (groan) but intriguing.

These are amazing!!

I got a sample of Sugru not too long ago - I'll have to try! So fun.

Advice on bending the fork?

Real beans (unbrewed!) are fine, like kid crafts that use other types of real beans. You can even spray paint them.

I got cheap forks from our Pound shops, they are very easy to bend into shape so that you have a prong end on the saucer, embedded into sugru and then bend again slightly so that the flat end is resting on the inside of the cup then place sugru over that, you must wait 24 hours for the Sugru to cure after that its fine, you will need to balance the cup on something till you have put something in the Saucer to stop the cup tipping over, I cut a toilet roll in half length ways and wrap it round the fork as that will make it a lot easier to Glue the flowers to it just make sure you have completely covered the fork, people will wonder how you don't it when its finished cos all they will see is a cup with flowers tumbling out of it onto a garden of moss, Hope you make one, They make lovely Gifts , Hugs
