Hello Scrappers and welcome to June's first inspiration challenge. Can you believe June is already here? Where oh where did the time go?
Today I am going to challenge you to use one of 10 basic design principles that we will be covering in the next few months. Let's get started, shall we?
All designs need a strong foundation. The foundation is usually made up of square or rectangular blocks. Your scrapbook designs are no different. A grid of regularly spaced horizontal and vertical lines, is one guaranteed way to lay a foundation. It creates instant visual organization and it makes your page appear unified and balanced, with clearly defined lines for the eye to follow.
The Challenge: Cut out identical sized squares or rectangles of patterned paper and adhere them to a base of neutral cardstock. This will create your "grid" and a strong foundation to build the rest of your design upon.
