IFC39: 5/18/09 Tried and True Patterned Paper Combos
Mixing and matching patterned papers for your layouts can become a bit confusing especially when you are just picking them randomly from your stash. If you are using the same paper line as I often do, then you know those patterns are meant to coordinate together. But what do you do when you have to pull papers from your stash? The latest papers are very bold, shaped, and even textured. This all can make things a bit confusing. However, if you look past the boldness, shape or texture of a pattern you will see the basic design it originated from and that origination will determine what it will look best paired with.
Your challenge is to try one of the following tried and true patterned paper combinations on your next layout:
- florals and plaids
- polka dots and stripes
- botanicals and flourishes
- hearts and diagonal stripes
- paisleys and checks
Note: Tried and True combinations taken from the April 2009 Issue of Scrapbooks Etc. Magazine page 121

Wow Patti! You are totally rocking this challenge. Way to go. These were all just great. Thanks for playing and keep 'em coming.
I hope to work on my own page today, if this tooth will give me a break. ;)
Well, it took me so long to get last weeks done that the page is actually both weeks. My DD had surgery early in the week though so I have a good reason for taking so long! Thank heavens its over and all will be fine

Yes, Molly, I'm here and trying to decide if I can do another page today. Looking over the challenge: Your challenge is to try one of the following tried and true patterned paper combinations on your next layout:

I realize I don't have many of the combinations we are challenged to use. Which is making want to go shopping!

tee hee. I went shopping in my stash. Now I'm trying to figure out photos to put on the papers. But you have a point...I could take this list, keep my pics in mind and go shopping. ;)

YES! But I need to use this stash up. I'm actually having fun doing this!
I figured it out tho! I'll upload to SCS this week; it will be the check & paisley pair.
Ya know...finding pics to match the paper I had in my stash...that says I buy the paper cuz it's pretty, not cuz I have some pictures or whatnot that goes with it. (sigh)
