I did one awhile ago as a Diet Journal (too bad I can't seem to use it )

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=44266

I need to make one for my Mom (not a diet journal, just a comp book. )

OMGosh, I just discovered this challenge! I actually found mini composition books at Wal-Mart recently and decorated one at a demo last Friday night! I'll have to get it posted and link it here! Now I'm off to see what everyone else made!

OK, got it uploaded! Thanks for looking!

Default Two questions

First, can someone point me to directions for covering a legal pad? Second, how do you cover the spiral ones and make it look so neat?

TIA!

I have a question about the spiral notebooks - maybe it has been brought up and answered already but here goes. Those of you that have done the spiral notebooks - it appears as though your design goes all the way to the edges of the front - underneath the wires - how are you accomplishing that - without taking the whole book apart?
Thanks for your reply

I combined WT96 and made another notebook. This notebook has needed a cover for over a year, so I think it's happy now!

This is my 1st challenge, upload, and attempt at altering a composition book...made as a journal for my daughter to use for her 5 month old son Avery, hence the "a" on the cover

Ok, I've never done a challenge, but I think I'll give this one a try. Wish me luck.

Better late than never, huh? Except I forgot to reference the challenge. Can anyone tell me if I can go back into the upload and add it?

Yes, you can go back and add the TLC99 to the keywords....click on your notebook and there is an option called "Edit Photo". If you are a member of the Fan Club, you can do this at anytime. If you are not a member of the Fan Club, please wait til Monday to do so, as we give the gallery mods a day off on Sundays. Thanks so much!

Default Better Late Than Never

This was my first attempt at Compostion book. I actually really enjoyed it!
I made it as birthday gift for my best friend who actually reads more than I do! I made a matching pen too. I can't wait to see what she thinks, I'm tempted to send it to her now... but her birthday isn't until Feb 23rd.

It's two weeks later, but I made another set of books -- this one for an office mate of 13 years who is leaving. I will miss her.

I had to fiddle with the size of the paper liner I put in RSVP a few times before I could get the thing to twist back together tight enough so the pen part worked.

Is that what you seeing?

I love, love, LOVE altering comp books! When this challenge first came out, I had just finished a book, but couldn't post it because I'd already shared with my little DSS and didn't want to give away my 'secret' identity!

These are just so fun, make great gifts, and are low cost-- what more could you ask for?

Here's my latest; it's part of a basket set I made for a fundraiser:

This is my first real attempt at any kind of notebooks. I did try a practice version last night, using the ModgePodge, but didn't like the way it was turning out, so I used Trish's version from her tutorial. Here is mine:

Here is my newest Altered Composition Book. As the decription states, in the gallery:http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=53842
The cup was heat embossed on white, and 2 designer papers; The cup itself was then cut out and placed on the image for color; I used the Liquid Applique to create the foam on top of the cup, and sprinkled with coffee. And the chipboard letters were actually an orange color, but I colored them with markers; And the napkin was stamped out of Borders Minis.

I made these a while back to send to some friends.
The patterned paper and the notebooks were from the dollar store. The turquoise paper is copy paper from Staples -- old stuff dh bought for a project a couple of years ago. All of the stamps and inks are CTMH.
