With gift cards so very popular, let's make some special gift card holders! There are many different kinds and I'd love to see what you are doing this year. Here is just one example....
Made by Linna Gonzalez: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
And here is the template she used: http://www.ruthannzaroff.com/mirkwoo...ns/library.htm
In the past, I have made little purses to put gift cards in....if I can find one, I'll post it later today.
You do not have to use the pocket card template I posted...it was just an idea to get you started. Feel free to make *anything* that holds a gift card!
When you upload, please put TLC95 in the keyword section when you upload, and then post a link to your card here in this thread. If you are new to the challenges, or need help uploading or linking, click here.
I look forward to seeing all your creations!
As always, I am in search of suggestions for techniques for future TLCs! Please PM with suggestions and a link to the directions and/or a sample if you can
Here is one I found in the gallery last spring that is a double slider/gift card holder that I always wanted to make . If you scroll down to the 4-5 comment, she lists the measurements.
Oh Beth...this is a perfect challenge for today, and guilt free stamping! I needed to make a gift card for my FIL's Christmas gift! Not only did I get the challenge done, but I have one more Christmas gift checked off the List! I used sketch challenge 101 for my pattern! Thanks to Roxie for such a fun sketch, too! Here is mine- Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

This was actually one of the things I needed to accomplish today. Love it when the challenge meets the need!!! This will have a Mellow Moss ribbon tied around it.
And this is one I made a few weeks ago. A standard pocket card fits an itunes gift card (still attached to the thingy the stores use to hang it on a hook) perfectly: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Perfect challenge for this time of the year. Thanks!

Ok...so I cheated slightly.
I created this one for the SC101 challenge and am resubmitting it here. But, when I get home tonight, I'll create a different style one for submission...promise!!!
I just happen to be making this to get in the mail today its for my nephew. On his fourth birthday he had a pirate party and his mom was suppose to send me the pictures so I could make him a little album of the party. Well we all know how busy moms are so I made this card and I sliced a hole in the treasures chest and slide money in.
Here are the gift card holders I like to make. It is a great way to use scraps of paper and ribbon! Take a 1/4 sheet of cardstock - any color. Then take an A2 envelope and fold it in half. Place a strip of ribbon between cardstock and folded envelope (which you turn on it's side). Adhere ribbon and envelope to the cardstock. Stamp on the envelope. Insert gift card - fold envie down - tie ribbon closed. These will fit in an A2 envie - I like to put them in clear envies -

Ok. Here's another one I made. It's another really simple one. I had to send out quite a few to my customers and didn't have time to make it too complex. TFL
Oh, and if you tried to look at the other one I posted earlier, it's viewable now. I didn't realize that even though I could see it when I clicked on it, that it might still say image pending for you. I'll have to make sure I wait next time after uploading pics.
I'll be making more this week for Christmas $$ holders. I love using the 6x3 card fold and personalizing with diecuts from my cricut. These fit perfectly into the open-end envelopes.
