TLC85 - Watercolor Monet
This week's challenge comes a technique I saw from Suzy Q. Moose. Here is what she wrote about it:
Preface: I love Monet because it's what I see without my glasses on.
I love stamping flowers and just "moneting" the color in with a dauber of color. I looked at my watercolor crayons and thought I could do the same with a moistened dauber:
Lightly color a "dot" on a flower (or whatever) with a watercolor crayon. Lightly spray a dauber with water and dab the end on the color dot. You get a softened Monet effect.
Here's her example:

If you have questions, please ask. If you have suggestions, please share!
When you upload, please put TLC85 in the keyword section when you upload, and then post a link to your card here in this thread.

I look forward to seeing all your creations!
As always, I am in search of suggestions for techniques for future TLCs! Please PM with suggestions and a link to the directions and/or a sample if you can.
Thanks!
Happy Monday!

Fun challenge Beth! Hope I get some time today to play.
As for not having watercolor crayons, I don't either but maybe you could try this. I stamped several colors on an image than spraying lightly with water and stamped on my cs. I was inspired to try it after seeing several beautiful cards in the gallery done that way. It really worked nicely and I think it's a technique similar to this.
Beth, I hope you don't think this is hijacking! just trying to help!

ooooooh, sounds fun! I don't see why you couldn't put a dot of classic ink and do the rest like described;)

Ooo, this looks like a cool technique. First time I've ever seen it. Thanks, Beth.
I'd agree with DawnL. If you don't have any watercolor crayons, try a dab of marker or classic pad instead of crayon. I would think that will give you the most similar effect.

If you don't have watercolor crayons, feel free to improvise with classic or craft pads, pastels, whatever works!

Sounds fun, haven't had much time for challenges lately but I have to try this. Off to pick apples and pumpkins with the kids. Gotta enjoy what might be the last really nice day in the northeast. I'll play when I get back. Can't wait to see what you all do.

This was interesting - I think I like it although I had to use my heat gun to dry the card 'cause I got a little carried away with the dauber! Thanks, Beth!

Monet did a variety of things - sea; streets, flowars - (I'm not being smart - I actually looked up Monet to see what he did and I didn't have any stamps similar to what I saw either!!!)

Well it's Thanksgiving here in Canada so I'm finally able to play during the day.
Love this technique.......fast, not messy at all and another way of using the Water Colour Crayons.....something I struggle with big time.

I can't wait to try this. First I need to finish my work though! :(
I had some pile up and waiting for me while I was playing in Dallas. It was so much fun.
And guess what? (my girl reads Junie B. Jones to me all the time now) I met Jeanne S., that's what! And I saw StamperSharon again, and TexasGrammy, and and and......
I even got to share a room with Milette and Jenn! It doesn't get any better than that.
