Thinking of spider's webs and suchlike Halloween stuff, it appears that while Spirelli corners were a TLC way, way back, we haven't actually had Spirelli done on scalloped shapes. If you have any of the dies with pinked edges, they will work perfectly well too. I remember the first time I tried this I didn't even have any suitable dies or punches and had to cut my pinked edges by hand! I'm so thankful that while I don't have any pinked dies, I have scalloped ones which work pretty well! While I was browsing around the other night, I came across some examples where only part of a circle had been covered with the Spirelli - consider this as an option if it will work with your design.
And if you wish to revist the original Spirelli Corners TLC, you can find it HERE
When you've created your card, upload it to the gallery (we have a special gallery for this technique: choose Technique Spotlight from the main gallery drop-down, and Spirelli from the sub gallery drop-down options.

I did this technique a zillion years ago - before the days of punches or dies - and I still enjoy hand cutting both simple and inter-quite shapes. I am glad you reminded me of it - it use it soon.
I've seen it and admired it(especially on mother's daughter's cards), but never done it. Maybe I went too small a scale, but I had to concentrate on what I was doing...took patience on my part. Thanks for giving me the push to venture into something I wouldn't ordinarily attempt.
What a great challenge, I often forget to use this technique. Was the perfect accent for my vintage basket with pumpkins- added a reverse cut leaf and orange ribbon. Here's Happy Harvest

What a fun technique, Sabrina! I've never done this before but I think this may not be my last time. I used it to make a HYCCT challenge card. Here it is:
This was THE MOST FUN!! Thank you for posting this challenge - I didn't know it existed in the gallery and thought I'd seen them all I was brought right back to my childhood nostalgia!
Back in my former life (BS: before stamping) I taught this to my kids in school. We would take a picture out of a coloring book, use carbon paper to copy it to cardboard, and punch equal amounts of holes on two sides of the picture. Using embroidery floss, my mentally challenged kids would make beautiful designs. I remember a turtle done this way and a sailboat. What fun we had.

Growing through challenges
I didn't think I would enter this challenge, just because the Spirelli seemed like a bit of a fuss. But - read the card description - I had an opportunity present itself. So here you go!
