Today I typed "background" in the search window on the SCS Resources page, and 68 results came up! For this week's challenge, I would like for you to do the same thing, and choose one of those background techniques for your project.
It could be one you have done before and especially like, or a brand new one you have never tried!

Judy what a fun challenge. I got to do something I hadn't ever done and didn't know existed. I learned something within 10 minutes of waking!
Here's my card.
Fun challenge, Judy. I used brayered sky, but added a twist so maybe it's "brayered sky PLUS". Thanks for another fun challenge......and one that combines well with the CAS. I LOVE the Olympics, so I spend my day watching them and not making cards. ; )
I had no idea there were so many techniques for making a background!!!! After much consideration I went with smackin' acetate by Beate. Here's my card. Thanks for a fun challenge Judy.
I am not a paid member so this is only way I think of to participate... by attaching the file to this post
I used to the Embossed Embossing technique, only I made a little modification!!
Instead of using the brayer on the already embossed image, I used the brayer and applied dazzle versamark to the negative side of my embossing folder. Then I inserted the paper and ran it through my machine. I applied the embossing powder and heat set it.
I love this technique and really love the way this particular combination came together - I makes me think of a beautiful piece of turquoise!!
Shabby Jo, your card is awesome! You don't have to be a paid member to start a gallery and upload cards, but I think you may have to have 10 posts, so go ahead and leave some comments on the other gals cards and soon you will be able to upload cards.
I think I figured out what the problem was.... I feel really stupid now!! My files were 201.2kb, so they were too big! I totally looked over the overall size limitation. I am so sorry gals, I'll wake up at some point!! My Turquoise Baby is now in my gallery, yaahhh!!!
Who knew how many BG choices there were? Thanks Judy for this fun challenge. I did cheat a little and combined with two DTGD challenges...here is my Fish You Were Here card.

Apparently in the middle of the website upgrade, the resource page search no longer goes where you want it to go. I did a search for backgrounds and it keeps going back to the home page.
I have been having a great time, Judy, making backgrounds and stamping images on them. I have not yet actually made a card. Hopefully before the week is out, I will produce something uploadable. Thanks for a great challenge.

Great challenge - it took me forever to pick a technique (lol). I finally decided on the striped wipe technique which inspired me to break out my SU! Tart & Tangy set. Here's my card.
