I LOVED this technique! I had never heard of it, but it's going to be a big part of stamping for me! I was able to use regular matte finish cardstock by detackifying the masking tape by stroking it across the jeans I was wearing about three times before inking. Great challenge. So fun!

Fun technique, Judy! Finally had a chance to try it. I just used reg c/s and that easy release painter's tape and it worked like a charm. Here's my Take a Message. Thanks so much for looking!

It was fun Judy revisiting a technique I learned years ago. I combined with this weeks CAS166 sketch challenge. Enjoy......

The first card was inspired by fauxme's beautiful creation: TLC373 CC371 Just Believe Magical Masking Gray Sand by fauxme - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

Every time I look in the gallery, I want to make another card using this technique!

This is a pretty cool technique. I missed it back in April. I didn't have wide enough masking tape to do what I wanted, so I used duct tape. This actually had a bonus -- it resulted in a nice texture to the color strip.

Well I'm about 6 months late, but I was looking for something new and this sounded like a good option. Very interesting and easy technique. Glad I tried it.

And Here's my card.
