Hello everyone...hope you have all had a wonderful weekend and are ready for some fun stamping!!! The challenge this week comes to us thanks to Julie Warner (justwritedesigns) and is called Stampin in the Die. I saw this gorgeous card Julie made using the stampin in the die technique and she graciously agreed to have her card featured on this weeks TLC......thanks, Julie!!
All you have to do is stamp your image using a background stamp or any other large image that will cover the whole die so the unstamped edge under the die creates the frame. ....easy peasy!!!
1. Cut out your layer with a die...Nestabilities were used for my sample.
2. Leave the cardstock in the die and stamp the image covering the whole die. Press fairly hard so all the paper is covered with ink.
3. Remove the paper from the die...be careful because the ink on the die will be wet. If you try to clean the ink off the die before removing the paper, it may smudge the paper (I know this from experience...LOL!!)
4. Tadaa...instant frame around the die cut!!
Looks like a cool technique! Can't wait to try it!

hmmmmm...it doesn't sound too "easy peasy" to me...but it does sound like fun. I love both the sample cards and can't wait to try. Thanks to both you and Julie for the fun challenge
You weren't kidding when you said this was EASY PEASY. I did three tonight because I had the images colored. Once they were colored they seemed too small to use until I saw this challenge! Card 1 Card 2 Card 3
Thanks ladies for a fun challenge!
Sadly this looks like fun, but I don't have the correct style of dies to do this. I think I will check out last weeks since I missed that one. Thanks for the cool challange!!
As described with my card, I tried to change the order of steps so that I could mask the flowers and vine. Now that I see the results, I think I could have done the steps as Joan listed them, and it would have worked fine to stamp these darker colors over the light paisley. But I don't really dislike the effect I got--it's just different!
