Default TLC252 Merry Birdhouse {12/21/09}

As we snuggle as warm in our beds, let's not forget about our feathered friends who struggle to find a morsel to eat this time of year...a few crumbs of bread, birdseed treats and some well placed birdhouses let the winter foul know we appreciate their beauty.

Speaking of birds and birdhouses, I have a fun project for you this week. Brenda Quintana, a/k/a Qbee, is a masterful template designer and she has designed an adorably sweet little birdhouse that also can serve as a sweet little treat housing for those on your Christmas list, (the roof hinges up to hide a little something special) or what about a one-of-a-kind place setting for your holiday table? They are tiny, but they pack a big WOW. I can't wait to see how many ways you find to decorate your birdhouse and for all the various holidays and occasions!

You can grab your template for your own Merry Birdhouse HERE

And for a look at Brenda's adorable results, click HERE.

Need a little more inspiration? Check OUT THESE.

To view the gallery of Merry Birdhouses, CLICK HERE. You could be first!

As with many of you this time of year, it's a bit hectic around my house with a frenzy of activity all in preparation for the holiday. So much frenzy that I didn't have the chance to work up a sample this week. I hope that you have done a little better in your planning than I have, and find a free minute or two to make today's TLC.

Don't forget to add the keyword, TLC252 (ALL CAPS) when you upload your projects into the gallery.

Until next time, Happy Holidays!

Lynn, here's a sample of one of these that I made last year. Hopefully this will help a little bit. Have a great day!

Really cute, Lynn. It was much easier than I anticipated. It also was a "plus" that it was on 8 1/2" X 11" paper that could go through my printer!

Here's my birdhouse...for high-class birds! : )

Here's my submission - Christmas Ornament or Gift Box

Thumbs up Greywolf's Merry Birdhouse

I loved these birdhouses the instant I saw them, and when I saw the template, I knew I had to make several. I had other things to do yesterday so had to wait to make one, but I woke up in the middle of the night still wanting to steal the time, so here's mine. Thanks so much for the template and challenge. I can't believe how easy it was. My daughter does miniature photography and I know this last minute Christmas gift will be a prop in her photos soon.

TFL - comments appreciated. Greywolf a/k/a Val

Default Two more Merry Birdhouses

I just couldn't stop myself. Here is Birdhouse No. 2 and Birdhouse No. 3. I'm still letting the paper be its own embellishment, but I love these. If you've just been looking, thinking this looks hard, you're missing out ... because they are SOOOO easy! TFL

I just discovered this thread. What a gorgeous template and project. Thank you for sharing it. I can't wait to make one.

Birdhouses are so cute. Here's another template for a birdhouse:
From Nichole's blog at PTI

I made three of these for co-workers this Christmas. They were a hit!

I know it's kind of late to be posting here, but I have to tell you I've loved seeing the array of pretty birdhouses in the gallery!
Made one of my own and wanted to share it here! Thanks for taking a peek...

Arrow Thank You

I just wanted to say thank you for all of you who participated in the bird house challenge. I loved what you did with my template. I was away in Chile when Lynn PMed me that she was going to use my template for the challenge and I was unable to comment until today. Thanks for using my template in such creative ways. It was fun to peek at all your designs.
