Are you ready for some ribbon fun? My good friend, Claire, of waltzinghouse.blogspot.com, is a genius, in my opinion, when it comes to ribbon fun. No one has her special flair when it comes to creative ways to use ribbon in projects. When I saw THIS card, I immediately e-mailed her and asked if it would be all right to share. So here are the details on how to create your own ribbon frame:
Things you will need are:
Cardstock
Ribbon
Slot Punch tool OR craft knife to create your own slots (notice I say slot and not slit...there is a difference, and after you read Claire's instructions, you'll know why a slot is preferred)
Stamps and other embellishments to complete your project
This is such a creative group that I'm sure you all find all sorts of ways to use this ribbon framing technique and I can't wait to see your results. Things you might try are adding beads, charms, etc.
Location: Currently upstate New York - it could change...

Goody! I subscribe to Claire's blog, and have been wanting to try this - now I have an extra reason to! It'll have to wait 'till this afternoon, though, unfortunately... Thanks, Lynn!
Thanks so much Lynn and Claire. Will the horizontal slot punch from SU work? Or do you need to be able to go in farther than it will reach. Love this idea.

Well THAT was fun! Here is my card. I highly recommend the exacto knife over the SU slot punch... you have to work too close to the edge for that slot punch.
I may make another later just to try that out... I love the look!

Fun challenge - I love learning something new - all the entries are so feminine, pretty and springy except mine - I did a more masculine card with horses and burlap!!
