Lynn,,,,,,,,,,,,,this was a fun challenge for me as I love paper folding.
I ended up using last year's valentine DP from SU. Worked out great. I used double stick tape for my lid sandwich....
Now back to cleaning. AFter a holiday season of not only me but my 2 daughters, 6 grandkids and my dear friend Maggie playing in my craft room....it takes almost a week of sorting and taking stock of what I have and what I need.....(my husband would disagree that I EVER need supplies again ! HA) But....back at it.
Thanks for a great start to the week !!
See you in the gallery !
Tina

WOW! Lynn! I love this!!! So fun! And, I needed to make something special for the lady who has been helping me, FOR FREE, with my dad, while Mother is in the hospital. Thanks!
Here's today's submission
It's VERY rare when I can successfully do a new fold on the first try. My waste basket is usually full of scrap paper when I'm learning something new. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
How do you know where to put the last folds, I messed up on getting the sides to match...LOL either that or im doing it wrong! Thanks

This lived up to its name and truly was a challenge for me. I persevered and was happy with the end results, so thanks, Lynn, for spurring me on! GREEN TEA ORIGAMI BOX

I've been to the gallery and am so impressed with your boxes! I love to make these boxes and am glad I have a stack already at home. It's fun to make one box from 12 by 12 and then another from 11.5 by 11.5. The smaller is the box and the larger is the lid. Since I'm stuck here on the beach with the humpbacks swimming by and the daunting list of 25 restaurants to choose from for dinner each night you can well imagine how sad I am that I can't be home organizing my desk with these darling little boxes. I'm a giving person though, I'm very happy for all of you; you're doing a wonderful job of creating beautiful boxes. Love this new lid style. Will definitely try that when I get home.
It took me a few minutes to figure out the instructions but I actually did it!! I don't usually play along with paper folding because i am not a very good 2 dimensional instruction follower, KWIM? So it took a couple of minutes to figure out that I had to actually fold the first picture before I made the scores on the second one, etc. and then to open it all up to finish it, anyone else have that problem or am I the only dummy?
No, you are not alone..I'm struggling myself. With me, I am a verbal person...meaning someone has to show me these funky folds.

OK, I tried and I am just not getting it. I guess I can't do it unless I know exactly where to score. I'm going to put it down for right now and try again later.

Phew, I spent all morning trying to figure out the diagram ... it was only after about an hour that I realised you need to leave diagram 2 folded before you do diagram 3 ... duh! Anyway, it's done!
Well.... this took a bit of figuring.... but I got it and LOVE the results! Thanks Lynn for strething me... and thanks everyone for looking! Here's my box:
Okay- I have never, ever been able to participate in a challenge-- but since i'm home, with nothing but 'play' time on my hands--- I'm off to make the box...wish me luck! I'm so excited!
This one was fun. I had a hart dime getting the DSP to attach to the cardboard without bubbling. If anyone has any tricks they are willing to share I would love to know. Other than that this was a blast.
I had a hard time picturing how these were made from the directions. I ended up going to youtube and found a video that showed it. It really helped me to see someone do it. Here is the link to that video.
Thanks for the fun challenge, Lynn! I took me a few tries to get the folds right, but I finally got it! Here is mine: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...&ppuser=143903
Sorry for the photo quality. Just couldn't get the lighting right today!

I've found that using too much glue will cause my paper to bubble. What type of glue are you using? I love PVA glue and it works great with this type of application.

I can't get the folds right on this to save my life... What am i doing wrong.. I keep getting folds around my box like Nancy... But if I don't fold it enough I can't make it into a box... UGH!!!!
Here is my little box...I didnt put a cover on it because I am going to leave it on my desk for images that are colored and ready to make cards with. This is such a cute idea...Thanks Lynn

I am actually using the red sticly tape. Would I be better off using a glue stick (that is the only glue I have right now)? I am going to seem stupid, but what is PVA glue and where can I buy it?
