Poor thing will have to wear one of those goofy "lampshade" collars for a while afterwards to prevent her from scratching out the stitches.

Thanks everyone for your well-wishes for Bonnie. She is such a sweet dog and a big part of our family.
Beth,
Best of luck with your dog. My cocker spaniel had to have extensive ear surgery completed two years ago, and the funnel/lampshade collar was one of misery for him but humor for me. He likes to get under the bed, and actually got wedged under there once! Advice for you: make sure Bonnie has extra time navigating stairs or any steps: she may have trouble, like my dog, with realizing she needs extra care with guaranteeing the lampshade doesn't hit the ground.

Thanks for posting a challenge today with your worries at home! I know when my dog has anything completed I'm a basketcase throughout the day. He's my little boy!!

I had seen one of Julia S's tri fold cards a couple of weeks ago and asked her for the directions. She sent to her blog and I had been wanting to try it since then, but hadn't. This challenge got me going on it. Now that I have finished my card and look at the TLC tutorial, I realize they are not the same card. So, I am off to try Beate's tutorial now! Here is my card made by Julia's instructions. TFL

Talking Envies for Tri Tri Cards

I completed an envelope a few weeks ago at a shoebox swap here is what Barb D. tought me how to do it.
Take a business size envelope
fold the ends in to the point
open the envelope
fold the sides back in
Fold flap down

I am not sure the postage on this, so for my card today I mounted the Tri Tri card to a piece of 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" cardstock

Good Luck!

Thanks Barb for the tip

Ooops! uploaded to Stamp gallery rather than Techniques. I'll do better with the instructions with my next upload. It's my birthday today so I am clelebrating by stamping tonight. No dinner, no dishes, no cleaning, just stampin...the best present I could give myself to myself. My husband even cooked me dinner!
I really enjoyed trying this new technique. Gotta love these challenges and our wonderful hostesses.
I drug out a old but loved set because it was a pretty square shape to fit the cover size of this trifold. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

And, by the way, Beth--wishing you good luck with Bonnie and the lampshade/cone collar. Unfortunately, in my house, we're all too familiar with that routine. Hope she has a speedy recovery.

I had already made a triangle card over the weekend, and had started this one from scraps of Stella Ruby and the used stamps that were already scattered across my dining table. I wish I had brown Stazon, but I don't....made do with close to cocoa which ran a bit but hopefully not enough to destroy things. And I got another email today that one of my friends just lost her grandmother, so I have yet another sympathy card to make.

Here's my triangle card

Trifold Bloom

Trifold Bloom Inside

Forgive me for not posting a new card. I wanted to play today but my heart's just not in it. My DH and I are both Virginia Tech grads, and we have many friends and family with kids there. Most are OK, but we are still waiting to hear from 2 of them, so I decided to just quickly check the challenge before I go to bed. ince I just did this card a few weeks ago when Beate posted the tutorial, I decided to share it with you all.

Bonnie is home and doing fine. She was a little groggy when we first got her home, but after a while she was looking better. She had some fur shaved off her face to get to the growths, so she looks a bit ragged, but she is doing well. I really appreciate all the kind words and thoughts today. I was really relieved when we got her home, so I guess I was more worried than I thought I was, kwim?

Beth,

I read your post right after I posted, and I missed all the chatter about your dog, but I'm SO glad to hear she's OK. We have 3 "furkids" of our own and they are very much part of our family. My little one - a 5 pound pomeranian - is my little angel, and on days like today, she made me smile when I really needed it! Pet kisses for your Bonnie - and thanks for your hugs

Forget the card! The fact that I posted it 45 minutes before midnight means I met my goal of posting on the same day of the challenge! Yeah!!!

Anyhoo...I thought this technique was adorable and I am sure to use it over and over. I like these challenges! Makes me use all the stuff that I have but have never used. Instead of staring at it, I'm actually USING it. LOL

See my card HERE.
