TLC109: Emerging Color (revisiting TLC15!)
This week we are going WAY back to an early TLC...number 15 to be exact!
The technique is Emerging Color, and it is very cool!
Here is the link to
TLC15 , with directions and samples.
You can use both keywords this week:
TLC109 and
TLC15.
Have fun!
Sorry to be so brief but the site "ate" my first (long) post, and I need to get my kids up and ready for school.

We just did this at our SU club last Tuesday. Fun technique. Maybe have to work on one later. Gotta work today.

I made this one this weekend and gave 4 of them away for our county 4-H fundraiser. Just thought it'd be a helpful sample.

Always wondered how that was done. The directions sound a lot easier than it looks. Cool. Hope I have time to play today. Thanks, Beth.

Awesome Technique, Beth!
I don't have a foam brayer. Can I use a paint sponge or something like that?

If anyone else was feeling confused about the technique (like I was), read the TLC15 thread. There are lots of answers posted as you read down through, along with some great tips, too.

I also noticed that you said the rubber attachment would work so I'll try that first.

This definately was a challenge, took 3 attempts. Here is mine:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...p?photo=513330
Would look better if the true thyme had been completely dry before I embossed. It picked up some of the embossing powder so it still shows through the chocolate chip. Have to go run errands so don't have time to redo it again.

Here is a card I did back in 2004 using this very technique. I didn't know it had a name.
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...00&ppuser=7065
I haven't done this technique in awhile. will play later today and submit a new card.
ok - finally had time to play, since it is Tuesday, I decided to kill two birds with one stone. I combined today's color challenge with yesterday's technique challenge

This was much more difficult for me than it should have been! I tried several colors as the background before one worked. I used a spong because I don't have a brayer, so my fingers are inky this morning!!

Thanks for the fun challenge Beth!!

Here's mine. I had a rough morning, so I wanted to stamp a happy card. The upload was being wonky, so I will have to go back and fill in the recipe. TLF!

once, many weeks or months ago, there was a challenge to go back and choose any TLC to try. This is the one I did, and here is my card:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=70025
I wasn't sure then if I did it right, and now I'm off to read the thread under the original chalenge to make sure, and I will try another today! This one was really fun, glad to see it up again!
