TLC321 ~ The Same, But Different ~ (04/18/11)
Hi friends!
As you can see, I am posting a bit early tonight. The reason I’m doing this is that the challenge I’m about to give you might take you just a wee bit longer than our usual fare. I hope you all don’t throw things at me for this one . ~ The Same, But Different ~ As you know, many times when making a card you have a bunch of leftovers from the project you are working on and that stuff has to be put away (well, in theory… I usually only clean my desk once a week!). So for today’s challenge, you’re going to make TWO cards. They must use the same focal point, the same colors/papers, the same embellishments, punches, etc.…. Everything the same, except they need to be different (i.e. a different layout or a 3D item to coordinate…etc.). The only thing you can do differently is change the sentiment (IF the sentiment is not your focal point!). Remember, if you didn’t use it on one card, then you can’t use it on the other! Your challenge was a "goodie" today, Holly. Certainly made me stop and think. I'm one of those that cleans my work space after every card since it is a small space and I would never find anything if it wasn't in its assigned place....just what works for me.

Just wanted to say, this is a great idea, Holly. ...and just in case you have any snippets leftover like I did, put them inside. It doesn't take much to take the inside of your card up a notch!

Impressed!
I am SO impressed! This is a terrific challenge, and the cards in the gallery are beautiful. Everyone is doing such a great job of making different cards from the same "stuff." I'm going to try this because once I make a card, it is easier for me to make a similar one, altho I've never done that using all the same materials before. Hopefully, I'll post here later. Thanks for the challenge!

What a fabulous idea. I haven't posted in the challenge for a while but couldn't resist this one. Here's mine but I goofed and used a different border punch when I was supposed to use the same one. That's what I get for not reading the instructions before I made the cards.
