I researched running the wireless option for my Cricut with SCAL 2 when I first got it. From everything I read, people found it very slow to cut when operated via wireless.
I read a review comparing the Cricut Expression 2 to the Cameo Silhouette and it said that the CE2 worked wirelessly whereas the Cameo only worked independently with SD cards. Not sure if this is accurate or not. Hope this vague information helps :-)

This interests me as well, since I tend to design on my desktop and cut with my laptop in my craft room. Since there's no actual "driver" for the cameo it doesn't seem like I can share it like a printer.
Was just thinking this the other day! I keep my laptop in my scrap room connected to my various peripherals like umbilical cords, LOL! I do have a wireless printer and was thinking how great it would be if my Cameo was wireless too. Is there maybe a software download for making it wireless?
oh, darn... see great minds think alike... i had several ideas in mind... i figured if my whole house was wireless, and all my electronics, then i could make my cameo wireless... i have ordered several items and figured i would do process of elimination... wish me luck, if i find one, i will post it...
I have the new Cameo 3. It has bluethooth on it. I can not figure out how to activate it. There is no manual with the machine, all on line, and the one on line is for the Cameo 2 mostly. Still working on it, will let you know when I figure out how to do it. I am told it does work.
You need to go into the settings on your computer and make sure that your Bluetooth is turned on. Turn on your Silhouette first., and open the software on your computer. The two machines should "find" each other and "pair" when it's time to cut.
I finally got it to connect and cut once. I actually bought a Bluetooth dongle for my desktop thinking the technology might just be to old. They did connect but my laptop is being stubborn. It connects to every other Bluetooth item in the house. I think one of the problems is when you download the software it says 3.7.0 for version but when you look at what downloaded it is version 3.6.4. (Numbers might be a little different but they don't match). I Will figure it out
