Glitter! Remember all those Papertrey Butterflies with glitter on them? That's why I bought it. Haven't used it...um...in a while...but Julee told me I had to get it, so I did. LOL
OK...this is too funny as I have two of them. I bought them online and had heard they were great so I decided to get one to keep for a gift. Well...never have used it!
If I remember correctly, from all my blog hopping. all you have to do is stamp and then pour glitter over the glue stamped image. I don't think you need to heat it. Let us know if it works!

I haven't used mine in a while, but it did work great for glitter and pearl ex. Hopefully once I get my stamping room finished I will have more time to play.
It just does not work that well, although the instructions do say to use it on glossy paper and I did have much better results on glossy(some of the glitter actually stuck).
I had visions of glittery stamped images but frankly, I'd rather stamp with a chalk or pigment ink and then emboss with Ranger Holographic embossing powder. I still get a glittery look, that does not fall off all over the place!
I have used mine and I do LOVE it! I will say though to keep your reinker handy...you will use a lot of ink, at least I do, to make whatever you are applying really stick. If you use too little the glitter/flock/etc won't stick properly. At least that's what I found to be true!
I also think EllenH had a blog post too where she created faux ribbon using it, I've done that as well and it works quite nicely. Unless you have a 3 yr old who insists on rubbing it, in which case it will start to rub off!! :( lol!

Thanks for the link to Anna's blog post
Now I remember...;)
I have the Palette glue pad that has to be stamped and then heated and the Essential glue pad that doesn't need to be heated. I haven't use either yet... but I will some day. (Like a lot of the other stuff I had to buy.)

I have used mine some, not and then - mine came with the glue to put on the pad - and then you have to make certain that you put the clear inner lid back on (just like the stazon pads) and then I read somewhere that when you put it away you should put a spritz or two of water on the pad to keep it from drying out and getting hard...so far, so good. No complaints here!
I love mine! I use it on lots of 2 part stamps with flock. So I have flocked flowers, birds, dogs, trees- flocking everywhere! I haven't had any trouble with the flock coming off after the glue dries, but I did find that if I press it while I apply it sticks better (As opposed to just dumping it on and then shaking the excess off) I like the fact the my 2 and 4 year olds can "help" without getting glue absolutely everywhere!... well, at least less glue everywhere ;)

For Glitter look I use Stickles. It is the easiest cleanest thing. And it comes in so many colors.
For chalking I use versamark or Perfect Medium.
I tried the glue pad and I did not like it.
Funny...I have asked myself the same question over and over again!! I finally used it a month or so ago....NOT a fan....could have saved myself 10.00...but it won't be the last time I waste money.
I used mine when I first got it for a project with my stamp club. All the glitter came off my project, and everyone else's. I didn't seal it. Maybe that would help. I felt a little foolish showing my great new find, and it didn't work the way I had hoped.
I'll try it again, and try sealing it to see what happens. Eileen
