I have read some of the past replies when it first came out...

I got one for christmas. Shamefully, I have yet to use it. I've been so busy with other projects - it is sitting on my desk staring at me....

Yes, apparently only the "westminster" edition is purple.

When I saw how much it weighed, I opted for the Vagabond. I store my stamping supplies in the garage and haul them in to the dining room table, so that was too much to carry back and forth. Granted they may sit there for a week or two, but just the same, 44 lbs. is more than I want to be lifting all the time.
So far, loving the Vagabond though...........

I LOVE my big shot pro. I really wanted a machine that could do it all. I didn't want to get the bigshot to turn around and want the pro. I am very excited to cut out 12X12 pieces of paper! I scrapbook so the larger size works for me!!! I can't wait till they have 12X12 embossing folders!!!! The machine is heavy but very well built!!

Cover yours in purple Vinyl
The Westminster is Purple, and it comes with the extended tray/plates but that's the only difference. Personally I'm going for the Westminster because of the extended accessories. The purple is a major bonus!

You can use any Accucut dies that will fit in the tray. The standard tray is 14" long by 12 7/8" wide and the extended tray is 12.5" wide and 27" long. If it can fit in that, you can use it!

trays for big shot pro?
The westminster edition comes with the Extended Cutting Pads and an Extended Adapter Pad. So what are the sliding tray and extended sliding tray? I don't recall the original sized machiens having any such things so I was wondering if they were designed/required for the quilting dies?

Both the original Big Shot Pro and the Big Shot Pro Westminster use the tray - it holds the dies steady so you can run them through. Since they are larger dies than the Bigz, it helps keeps things secure.
