Have not tried Fresh Snow. I order from PTI all the time though not their inks (but stamps and paper galore). I tried their dye inks and was not really impressed, so never thought to try the white. Maybe next time I will.

Still, if I want it really white, I emboss. Stampendous Detail White.
Is Memories Unicorn whiter than Memories white? I use Memories white, but would love to have an even whiter white, if possible.

You know, I have no idea! I had never heard of Memories Unicorn until I saw it on this video.

If you look on this page, in the pigment ink section, the white is called Unicorn. I don't see pigment ink called White, but maybe I'm missing it:

Memories Line

I'll stamp something with the Unicorn tomorrow and post it here so you can see how white it is. !

Thanks for your answer. I was just going to go on line to check on it---how timely. The Memories White I have is a dye ink. I love the Black they make so much, that I thought I would try the White. I usually don't use pigment unless I am going to emboss or doing some sort of special technique.

I haven't tried most of the "preferred" white ink pads listed, but I've been using my CTMH White Daisy pigment ink pad for years, and still love it! I've never even re-inked it...

Oooo, I have been loving the look of white ink splatters on cards. I hope my SU white ink refill will work for that technique.

I have this as well and was going thru the posts first to see if anyone else had posted this. I really am quite happy with this one, and I have spent quite a lot of $$$ on trying to find a white one I liked.

jeanne3579 - Here's a picture of the Memories and also the WPlus9 on black CS:

2-whites-copy.jpg

I bought the WPlus9 because lots of people on a recent thread were talking about how great it was. I already had the Memories but figured I'd try the WPlus9.

I think the Memories is better. It gives a smoother look, the pigments in the WPlus9 tend to be more clumpy in my opinion, as you can see in the picture. I purposely used a difficult stamp, one that had both detail and solid areas.

Disclaimer - neither white is as quite as starkly white in real life as in the picture. They are both a bit softer. I just couldn't get them to photograph that way.

HTH!

Rachelrose,
Thank you for the comparison. I agree with you that the Memories is smoother and more opaque. Since Memories is already a favorite of mine, it is probably the way I will go. I'm hoping it dries rather fast as I will mostly be using it un-embossed. Thanks again.

It dries very fast on regular CS. A coated paper, less fast. Just heat set.

Default white dye ink from sweetstamps.com

I learned about this white dye ink this last weekend and am in love with it.
I know Stacey, owner of SS.com uses the dye ink pretty much exclusively for all her demoing and embosses with it as well, which I didn't know you can do. She uses a lot of vellum in addition to cardstock and it works amazingly well on both. You can also buy a reinker i believe but it takes a while before you will need it, from what i've heard.
