I am a newbie and want to try some of the tutorials that require glossy card stock. I cant seem to find it in any stores?? I've been to Micheals and Hobby Lobby. Any other suggestions? Where would be a good place to purchase on line?
Michaels sometimes has it ... however, you can use glossy photo paper -- it works fine. At least until you can order some from someone like Stampin Up!
SU's is the best I have ever used. Find a demo near you and order some. It comes in packets of 25 sheets for $5.95. I have used photo paper but it is not quite the same. Marco Papers is awesome too. I have ordered from them before.

Any craft store carries glossy paper. May come in individual sheets like the racks of 12x12 or card stock are or you can purchase it in packages of 1/2 sheets (black and pink plastic packaging...Ranger is the name). Not very expensive and will save postage from ordering. I know both AC Moore and Michaels sells it in the paper crafting isles.
I used glossy paper that I bought at a LSS and I tried to use my brayer on it, it was horrible. The ink never dried, and if I used my heat gun, it only blistered the ink. My demo said that she had heard that a lot of the glossy paper doesn't work with the ink but SU's ink is no problem. I won't be wasting anymore money with glossy paper unless it's from SU.
No,No, No - do don't use glossy photopaper. Glossy photopaper has clay in it to allow the ink to absorb into the paper. If you apply waterbased products it will seperate. If you heat it it will bubble. Ink will fade over time. How do I know - let's just say I've learned the hardway.
Glossy cardstock is a little pricey but if you want the best results, its the way to go.
If you live near a city, there should be a paper distributor like Kelly or Xpedx that would have white glossy. All the ones I have been to are open to the public.
