Default so glad

I am so glad that I am not the only one that has to clear a spot. I have (2) 3ft by 6 ft tables and sometimes I have to squat on the floor. I have read the life changing magic of tidying up. and went great guns for two weekends and uncovered so many treasures I never used that I have spent the last 4 weeks making card fronts. I am seriously thinking of taking an unpaid day this Friday and really working hard at finishing that room. well first coffee and probably Internet craft shopping! ugh. I have a sickness.

It's here so I have to admit it. I wasn't going to.

I'm a Cuttlebugger since one fits perfectly on a corner of my computer desk. Die cutting is the only crafty activity done there. The rest is at my craft tables. Since it's in front of me I die cut. If it had to be pulled out I wouldn't.

My walls are a soft blue, and furniture is white. Even my computer stand is white. My IBM Selectric was painted soft blue by the refurbisher. (I had my local paint store put the color in spray cans.)

When at my desk the trusty little yellow and green Cuttlebug is always looking at me. And it's bugged me (sorry) since I got it, not that I don't like yellow or green. Elsewhere.

And btw, my craft room office is not like Jennifer McGuire's. I had blue walls for years, and I've got a lot of crafty stuff and books out and about.

HSN sold a serenity blue and white Cuttlebug for a short time, but I resisted. But I kept thinking about it, and after months of searching off and on found one on eBay. It landed here today. It's so pretty.

Color affects me so much; I worked with color in my last job/small consulting business. So that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Oh, and I eventually would have needed new B plates, plus this came with a magnetic plate.

I have been a buying fool lately! WRMK banner and frames punch boards, CTMH embossing diffusers and broad, flat water brush and Creative Memories frames shapes for cutting system. I must stop now, only a few weeks until demos can preorder from the lovely new SU! catalog.

I am an avid scrapbooker and sometimes make cards. My favorite manufacturer of paper is Graphic 45...I could eat if for breakfast! I buy a lot of the discontinued G45 at Tuesday Morning in packs of 25 of same paper each. My latest indulgence was G45 Precious Memories collection for grandbaby pages.

However, I just got interested in a stamp positioner. Just read the Tim Holtz thread with all the "legal beagle" issues...so now I am in a holding pattern until the Tim Holtz tool comes available. I actually might enjoy stamping with this new tool!!

There are a few of the Creative Corner videos on this site. I'm still learning but basically it makes it easier for doing diagonal stamping and stamping off the card's edge. I've also found it handy since the corners have magnets imbedded that it's easier to grab than the individual magnets.

It may sound greedy but I have a Misti and a Hampton and was on my way to get a Tim Holtz stamp positioner next when I heard about the legal battles. I love having them and find that I use more than one. When setting up for a card, I find that I don't like changing the positioning of one stamp and moved to a second or third positioner. I make several copies of my cards and like to mass produce. I was happy with my first purchase of the Misty, just thought I would try other brands for comparison.

Default Fine Tip Applicators Fix Supplies

SU fine tip glue pen and similar applicator tip applicator fix supplies. 16, 18, and 20 gauge 1/2" blunt leur lock needles. They can be purchased in non sterile industrial use only in packs of 50 or more. Depending on where they're purchased, the price per needle is approximately 11 to 15 cents per needle. Fixed all of my clogged tips by just replacing the needle. I normally use a 20cc leur lock syringe to blow out the tips at the end of my craft day, but mediums like my Pico Embellishers were impossible to clear after being in storage during our cross country move, now they're good as new!

An 18 gauge leur lock 1/2 inch blunt tip needle is sufficient for most mediums.

Anne not sure exactly what you mean. I do know that I bought bottles and tips to go on my glossy accents with needle type applicators and they were gooder for exactly one use and the clogged. was I supposed to be cleaning then with another needle thingy?

Hi Lori, Stampin Up makes a glue that has a fine metal tip on it, and some crafters replace their Ranger Glossy Accents with a needle tip, like the Stampin Up glue tip. The metal tip is actually a blunt tip needle inside the cap. Some, including myself, have had issues with the tip clogging. Here's the tip I use on my Glossy Accents for example.
Fine Tip Applicator

Edited to add: LOL! You should see all of my typos!!!

I am in love with Papermania and their tole/decoupage. Their paper is so pretty. The lower left one is not Papermania.

Oh my I am jealous. I have heard great things about the Distressed Oxide inks but I am still trying to get more of the Distressed inks. Can't buy it all...but I seem to try! Was chatting with a friend about how many types of coloring products do we have to buy, as I have so many now and always wanting more.

For a couple reasons, Bugga. I teach classes and usually have between 12-15 people here at a time; having another MISTI will allow me to have a positioner for more than 1 of the 3 cards that the women are working at at 3 stations. I've found that people waste a whole lot less paper and time if they can get a good stamped image. Especially with silhouette type images, people really struggle to get complete images without the MISTI.Also, I really would like to keep one set up for rubber stamps, and one for photopolymer for my own stamping time; I'm constantly switching mine out and fiddling with those killer magnets!

Okay! This nosey person is perfectly satisfied with those reasons, lol. I can see that another Misti would be very convenient, especially when teaching classes.

I almost always use clear stamps, and use a bit of tape for my cardstock, and avoid the pesky magnets.

I avoid the two round ones and have one bar magnet if I need it. Easier and don't have to worry about making sure I move one round one with my right hand and the other with my left hand to keep them apart from each other like troublemakers in elementary school.

So my latest crafty indulgence is a little bit related. It's the newer style of Fiskars stamp push-down thing that Jennifer McGuire is using in this video. You can fast forward to 8:30 to see it. I have a Misti and am waiting for a Tonic platform, but this little guy is very neat in a different way. Faux Metal Sentiments + GIVEAWAY - Jennifer McGuire Ink

It also comes with different type of blocks so it will be fun to decide whether to use them much. I actually love acrylic blocks too. (I wish I didn't love so much.)

CJCIM I am liking the idea of 2 MISTI'S. I am glad that Bugga asked you why. I think I might like another one just to put in my crop bag so I wont take it out and forget to put it back in.

My tubes of watercolor paints need a better home palette. I've found the perfect one for me. The center has various mixing palettes that can be switched out, even a portable palette that holds an additional 41 pans! It's on an attached lazy susan, and the cover can be used as a palette too!

Main 85 well with Interchangeable Mixing Center

Can switch out main center above with this

Or this additional 41 well portable palette.

Plus more choices! Found this after months of research at Robax Engineering.

Today my March birthday present from hubby of a Go Press and Foil machine was finally delivered.. Have spent the day playing around with my embossing folders, and following the youtube videos to work out the shims needed for a good result with my big shot machine. Managed to get some nice results using my own dies from my stash as well. Turns out my hot foil stamps were sitting in the mailbox all day so had a play with them tonight after tea. I only got a few of the hotfoil stamps at this stage as being able to use my embossing folders stash and dies I already own was my reason for getting it.

I finally bit the bullet and got the Finetec mica paints. And some adhesive-the Xtreme tombow runner and the re-positionable one Those things are not cheap, esp if you order refills too.

Anne I am SO impressed with how neat your palette is! No way could I load that many pans that neatly!!

That palette is very cool!

Well my Go Press and Foil machine arrived but after only a few fun hours playing with it..it refused to turn on again. Praying that my replacement machine when it arrives will last as I was loving what it can do. And I have a stockpile of foil ready for it lol

Have fun playing with them. I love the effects you can get with them and they stamp beautifully too. I always struggled with normal distress inks, but find these so much easier to work with and love creating layered backgrounds with them for my cards.

Happy playtime Stampnnatter, mine have been getting a workout since I got them. I always struggled with the normal distress inks, and was apprehensive when I put my order in. But I just love them and their versatility. And the colours blend so nicely.
