Default What do you think about the Versa Magic Ink?

I just bought a little ink mini from Versa Magic. Didn't realize it was chalk ink! I LOVE it. It does tend to smudge! But if I let it dry it looks like the ink was embossed. It is really pretty.

How could I have missed this ink?

Does anyone else out there know of other great inks?

Thanks!!
Lesley

Have you tried Color Box's Fluid Chalk ink? They're really great!

I love the Versa Magic chalk ink dew drops! They are comprable to SU Craft ink spots, therefore they are wonderful for embossing with clear powder and a little heat with a gun to set it! If you haven't tried it, you must!

Cool! I didn't know you can emboss with versamagic ink. I have just discovered this ink and have been collecting them to use with my clear stamps, they are soooo much nicer then SU classic ink for the clear guys. And now I find out I can emboss with them. This just keeps getting better. Thanks for the info!

I love my Versamagic Dew Drops! They also don't stain my clear stamps like the Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink. Nice, rich color too!

Wow. Thanks for the input! I actually did buy the dewdrop size!! I am wondering how white or off white would stamp? Does it show up very well?

I love the Versamagic inks...and yes white shows up ok...not as clear as SU craft ink, but that's the nature of it..it's a soft look. I mostly use the white for distressing, rarely do I stamp with it. When I want a true white, I emboss.

Hello! I guess almost all "versa" ink (versafine, versacolor, versamagic) can be used for embossing. I've tried them all and it worked! ;)

I have Versamagic reinkers that a Japanese collegue orders from Japan. They are really good, the ink is very creamy and you only need a few drops. I think that a reinker bottle will last for years!!! I noticed that some of these inks tend to be a bit dry so, with a couple drops of reinker, they turn back to life.
I don't know if in the U.S. is easy to fine Versamagic reinkers, I don't find them here, that's why I order them to Japan. I love these inks, the coverage is great. Also, I love Brilliance and Memento (also from Tsukineko).

Another big fan here of VersaMagic.

They are wonderful chalk inks. Great color selection and great coverage and there are some special techniques that you can do with chalk ink that I don't think you can do with other ink types (cannot remember off hand......).

I LOVE my VersaMagic inks and have reinkers for my full sized pads. I agree a bottle of reinker will go a long way! I just wasn't sure about reinking the dew drops but now I'm going to try it!!

TAC carries the VersaMagic reinkers in all of the colors so I buy them from there (well, from me, hehe!!).

Thank you so much everyone for your help! If I have problems with reinking the dew drops I'll let you know.
