Default What Cardstock with Distress Inks?

A while back a friend gave me 2 pieces of cardstock that I stamped and then colored with distress ink (pads) and an aqua brush...gorgeous cards.. she can't remember what she gave me and I've tried 3 kinds of paper and the water just runs on it.

Does anyone "paint" with distress inks and if so what cardstock works?

thanks

You need some kind of water color paper. Any craft store carries it in the art supply department. There's rough and smooth varieties of w/c paper, smooth is called Hot Press (you probably won't find this at the craft store, but the art supply store) the rougher kind is usually Cold Press. These papers were designed to be used with water and hold up very well, some better than others. HTH!

Water color paper works great for me, too. If you have Michael's near you, they have their pads of white watercolor paper on sale 40% off.

Thanks! I have a friend that loaned me a piece of Stampin' Up white "natural" paper and it seems to do pretty well so I'm going to play with it and go to Michael's. I sell stampin up but never thought to get this paper since I'm so in love with Very Vanilla!
